Lame. So politically correct. There are only people dying who were refused the proven working therapeutics and treatments. Everything that actually works, peer reviewed, is banned. You have a right to die, or to overcome it by yourself. Your doctor and pharmacy will get a HUGE fine or lose their license to give you what have saved hundreds of thousands of lives in other countries, until it was prohibited there as well. This thing has multiple avenues of super safe, super reliable prevention and cure. After, you will be resistant the rest of your life. Unless you take something into your bloodstream to interfere.

There is no competition in self driving….I just now watched a video from 2016(5 years ago)…where a Tesla model S was doing this….now Tesla’s are actually driving themselves completely ….through neighborhoods…just put in your destination and the car will take you there…that’s how far ahead of everyone else they are….

Inclement weather will continue to be a problem along with the abrupt panic stops from potholes that we have in Southeastern Michigan, I expect! This certainly looks like a major update from Distronic 3 w/ lane keep assist. It will be great to see it with full speed capabilities. Urban interstate driving is such a pain in the tail between the people driving 20 mph below the speed limit and in whatever lane they decide to choose and those who for whatever reason decide to drive 40 mph over the speed limit, again in whatever series of lanes, just to get around everyone else.

This is on a clean closed track with not much left and right. And as far as I know, the drive pilot does not work at night and rainy or snowy conditions. Building a prototype for a closed track with prepared events is the easy part. For reality you need tons of data from customers that move in reality. And then you need huge competence in AI software development. Am I right when I say, Tesla is way ahead? Or are all the Tesla autopilot videos on youtube fake?

I would only use self driving in traffic. For every other time, I would want to drive myself. Driving is so nice even if it is a big soft luxury car (for me especially when it is a big soft luxury car). Going to and from shops and on long open stretches of highway I would want to drive. Perhaps it would also be good when driving very long distance and the road is monotonous and boring.

What he means is that (at least on my 2017 GLS) if you leave the wiper switch turned on in one of the rain-sensing positions, the wipers will activate when the system senses rain on the windshield. This holds true from one drive to the next, if the switch is left in that position (it doesn't reset to 'off' by itself). First time it happened to me, I was surprised until I understood that I'd left the wipers 'on' in rain-sensing the last time I was driving.

@@mrdecarte1 I guess you didn’t get the “safely” part huh? Also, lidar, something Elon refuses to accept actually adds enormously to the suite of sensors required for autonomous driving above level 2. Tesla’s FSD will never get regulatory approval for level 3 let alone 4 or 5 in its current form. It’s a con, and not even a particularly good con, that gullible people help to perpetuate.

@@SeriouslyJaded The fact that Mercedes apparently don't have the confidence to test or demonstrate their "level 3" autonomous system on real roads with real traffic suggests it is not safe. Have Mercedes received regulatory approval, or are they still confined to a test track? Tesla's current version of FSD is far more capable and continuously improving. Humans drive using sight as the primary sense, not lidar. Therefore level 4-5 autonomous driving should be possible using cameras as the primary sensor, without LIDAR. Mercedes have lidar and yet cannot match the capabilities of FSD. I would argue it is Mercedes pulling the con job, "level 3" that they dare not demonstrate on a real road and limited to 60 kph. I use FSD regularly, yes it makes mistakes and needs work, but the Mercedes test track "Level 3" is laughable in comparison.

@@mrdecarte1 Elon, is that you? The difference between our eyes with our brains and wetware compared to a set of cameras with a CPU running some approximation of AI is pretty damn huge. Been in IT a long damn time, and I can tell you now, Elon is playing you Tesla fans with his AI based vision system. There are good reasons why all the major real autonomous companies out there use Lidar. More information to track the environment is not a bad thing - that’s just Elon gaslighting you guys to cut costs. As for Mercedes being cautious during their testing - that’s just sensible. And that’s also real L3 which Tesla’s cannot do.

to be honest the only thing impressive about this was they emergency vehicle regonition up to 30 mph ? only on the Autobahn? You know how many times yo drive 30 on the autobahn spoiler not often. For example teslas fsd can do all of(except the emergency thing) this but faster and everywhere and thats just a level 2 system. In my opinion you should only get to call a vehicle level 1 2 3 4 5 if it can handle all or almost all scenarios and not like on specific scenario and then act like its better than everyone

Yeah I love driving Thomas but having the car take over the driving in stop start traffic and also when driving long distance like I do when I go to my parents, is really cool, which is something my VW Golf 8 can do with Travel Assist. I like the idea of the car doing some of the work, but I am worried that this self driving technology will get so advanced to the point that car manufacturers won’t even bother putting in the steering wheel. I love technology but at the same time I don’t like it, millions of people in the future are going to lose jobs because of Technology, AI, Robots and Androids and whatever comes after that, we see it in sci-fi movies all the time then watch it play out in real life years later.
