I actually liked this episode: C+. The Twilight Zone reference is to an episode where astronauts find a planet of tiny people and one of them gets a god complex. The tiny people build a statue of him, but at the end of the episode giants land on the planet and kill the astronaut who is tiny compared to them. They were going for some kind of a theme with James trying to get the Mario statue and the Twilight Zone ending. It was a good idea, but they didn't really follow through on it the way they needed to. Imagine if the episode started with James discovering the game, developing a god complex while playing, getting the Mario statue, then having it turn out he was in a game Bugs Bunny is playing, and then it would be a reference to both Duck Amuck and the Twilight Zone.

When I first laid eyes on Dan Olsen in his "review" for Nostalgia Critic's The Wall video, I instantly had a sixth sense about that dude, like I couldn't trust him. His video on Nostalgia Critic was more about Dan Olson attacking everything that makes NC who he is and his whole run rather than just criticizing The Wall video, almost as if he hates the guy. Then upon doing some research, my sixth sense was validated. Dude is a woke lefti/t and is "good friends" with Lindsey Ellis who worked with NC and had a fallen out with him. I got the feeling that Olsen made that attack on NC to $imp for Lindsey. Dude also had a grudge against 8chan for exposing the activists of Game Gate so he posted child p. on the site to try to get that site taken down. So far he hasn't said anything about Gamer Gate 2 because I think he's afraid that people will remind him on what he tried to do to combat for the activists of Gamer Gate 1.

I'm with you with Dan Olson'd video. For some reason the KZread algorithm keeps pushing it on me even when I'm not logged in, so I had to watch it, well most of it. The production came off very pretentious, and when he started listing off all the 'isms TCT is guilty of, I was like alright, there isn't much else I can get out of this.

Dan Olson is a far leftist and an alley of all the activists of Game Gate. He had an axe to grind for 8Chan for exposing the activists, so he posted child p. on the site to try to get the site taken down. He's also good friends with Lindsay Ellis which is why he made that video on Nostalgia Critic which is pretty much on a attack on Nostalgia Critic as a whole rather than just criticizing The Wall review.

Olson and his ilk will never grasp the simple fact that criticising a woman for her actions is *not* misogyny. I have to admit, I actually liked his video on the Metaverse, since he managed to leave his politics out of that one. I thought maybe he'd turned over a new leaf. I was dead wrong.

THANK YOU! Holy cow! Never heard of the guy before. When I first started watching it, I thought he was doing a bit as a pretentious, self-absorbed, fart smelling video essayist. Then after a few minutes I realized it wasn't a bit. I genuinely hated the man by the end.

He probably couldn't talk about it because didn't want to be "ableist" 🤣 That's like making a biopic of Freddie Mercury, but never mentioning that he was gay.

If you’d like to see a movie that is what The Expendables wants to be? Watch Extreme Prejeduce with Nick Nolte. Bunch of oddball characters get together, maim and kill each other for an hour and a half. And it’s excellent. And yeah, The Expentables uniformly suck.

I don't know if you're a wrestling fan but all I could think while you reacted to this was this one segment from the early 2000s where Stone Cold would come out to this guy Lance Storm's matches, sometimes with a pillow and blanket, and yell on the mic "BORRRRINGGGG" and just continuously mock the dude while he was just trying to have a match!

James looks like he just turned 60. Im not talking about the hair because that is not fair at all.

Actually kinda liked James' new episode, apart from some minor aspects (fake laughing stuff, that Twilight bullshit at the end, etc.), but I really liked the game itself back in the day. What really bothered me was his take on not having any money sooner or later. If you keep an eye on your budget you have plenty of money to spend it for new projects every year. You don't even have to cut down funds for streets, police etc.

For the past decade, I usually had pain every time I swallowed solid food when it entered the stomach. Doctors were useless. Prescribed antacids did nothing. Sometimes it would go away for a while. And other times my body would freeze every time I swallowed from the pain. I pretty much cured it last year as I bought a bunch of proton pump inhibitors, and took them for a couple of months, and the pain went away. Though I still take one a couple of times a month as maintenance. And I'll take one whenever I feel acid reflux moving around in my stomach. If you take proton pump inhibitors, you'll want to also take magnesium supplement as I believe you can become deficient. I'm guessing acid reflux must have caused an ulcer or stomach lining irritation at the top of the stomach that was able to heal while being on the proton pump inhibitors.

The folding ideas video was indeed very tryhard. I liked some of his points, i liked the miniature which shows how bad the nerd set is. But his point about the nerd critics was just the usual boomer bs.

Reflux is from your stomach acid not being acidic enough. Anti-acid anythings are an utterly wrong direction to take dude. Not acidic enough, so your system tries to combat this with more fluid. It doesn't care that it will eventually overflow. Try to eat at a higher quality level, and in the meantime, drink some lemon juice every now and then, especially as an emergency move when the reflux JUST happened, it makes the nasty effects go away INSTANTLY, and normalizes the situation somewhat on the long run drank regularly. Don't look into medical remedies, they will cause more problems popping up by trying to ease a single problem (badly). Cut back on sugar, grains, eat real, animal proteins. Try intermittent fasting to give back the natural acid flow cycles to yo' tum-tums, snacking stresses it out keeping it on constant alert which leads to all sorts of fun, like in your case.

I wish I'd caught this stream. I'm about halfway through it and so far I agree with pretty much everything you've said. I will say, James has mentioned in the past a few times how much he loves Sim City 2000 on SNES, but this episode was super boring. I really don't know why he couldn't ever find another passion to make competent videos. Actually, I do know why. It's because he doesn't need to when he has 3M subs. He can coast on these low effort videos and just ignore the criticism while his loyal fans praise his lazy videos. I'm still subscribed, but not 1 video this year has surprised me in a good way. Here's a short list of word James mispronounces that drives me nuts. Rodden, Buddon, Ntendo, and Paramont

There are people on youtube uploading shorter versions of other videos that are already on the platform. They title them "ADHD version". Autism has no limits.

33:30 - I mean, sure but there may have been measures to not make it that laborious. They may have just had a auto clicker which pressed "Up" every 10 seconds. Then you just start emulation, start auto clicker then record. Go to sleep, wake up & upload. Easy. Don't just assume BECAUSE it looks tedious, it was. Plus you can't really say what is & isn't an "autistic" use of someone's time. Who said you doing emo music when you are in your 30s is the coolest thing? Fallout Boy?

🤣 Semi related tangent, there was a PAL and Japan only PS2 beat em up game called Raging Blades. It had a battle mode , and one of the weird ass enemy characters you could play as in that mode was called homunculus. First time really hearing the word since then.

You watched the whole video.. Which means you streamed the entire video. on your channel.. You basically stole over 1300 views that would have gone to James for the video that he actually put time and effort into. Reaction channels like this just steal content and then claim fair use when called out. Fair use would have been you watching select parts of the video and editing so that only part of the video are used. The way the Fine brothers used to do it. No one who watches the video here will go back and give James a view. Reaction channels are lazy..

I woulda LOVED to watch Faces Of Death when I was a kid! I was already watching heavy-duty extreme horror before the Video Nasties bill hit the UK in 1984 when I was 10 years old. So I watched a bunch of horror as a little kid that adults were banned from seeing! I've always for as long as I can remember been a dark horror/violence/weapon obsessed person haha! My interest did even venture into IT stuff like Faces Of Death and I remember being fascinated as a young teen by a complete autopsy (it was even of a kid!) they showed complete on TV back in the mid 80s? So horror was a no go but showing a dead little kid being cut up was ok? Strange days the 80s!
