I'm new to the diesel world having just bought a 100% stock 2013 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 6.6L LML Duramax. I want to do 4" exhaust from the V-clamp all the way back. I watched your video on doing that, awesome job all the way thru. Budget is always a concern. What tuner will give me the best bang for my buck and what company should I contact to get everything I'm going to need to do the swap. Thank You. I'd have to say your videos are the best I've seen and I've watched a lot of em.

I got the ezylink on my 2014 ram 6.7 best investment got SOTF and get the transmission tune it’s perfect shifts all the time no hanging gears full throttle

Hi, Your videos have been very helpful! I have had several diesels. I recently bought a gmc 1500 with the 3.0 lm2. Have you had any experience with these diesels? It’s a 2020, a lot newer than what I’m used to. Curious on some options to improve fuel economy. I average around 40k miles a year. Mainly highway commutes. It doesn’t do to bad. I’m not a big fan of the def and would like to remove it. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jake.

I just bought an 08 6.7. The dpf has been removed and replaced with straight pipe from turbo on back. How can I tell if it has been tuned also? It don't "roll coal" but will easily break loose the 35" tires.

Great video Sir i have a 09 ford 6.4 that the dpf is clogged so bad it wont hardly pull it self i took it off and has all kinds of power but only for a minute or 2 i been reading about a way to disable the regen process im on social security and the dpf is more than i get in a month is there maybe a cheaper scanner or tool to disable this process ? thank you very much

Have you ever had a LML say engine power reduced after dpf and egr delete and tune? I used H&s mini maxx. The truck seems to have full power.

I bought a 2018 superduty. It was already deleted and he said it had 5 ezlynk tunes programmed already but he never installed the SOTF . He said if I order a switch and tap into the fuel sensor and I’ll have 5 tunes . Question 1 does that make sense and if I add a switch how can I tell if it’s actually switching tunes ? Or can I add my own tune and will it over ride the one that’s on it

Hello, good video, I tried to look up the EZ-Lynk and all I could find is the ez=lynk 2 and it does not state that it's for the 6.4 powerstroke. Will the EZ-lynk 2 work for my 2998 F-550 6.4?

Did you ever get it? I switched to EFI Live from Smarty TNT. It was a noticeable seat of the pants difference. My egts would barely hit 1100* from 0-100 mph. It doesn’t smoke as much either.

Hey great explanation on the tuners! I have a question. I bought a 19 6.7 Cummins, and it is deleted fully with an intake. I purchased the full edge package tuner and it isn’t really what I hoped so I decided to go to EFI live and run their system instead. Once I program and upload my map, can I still run the edge monitor with it? I’ve heard different things like I would have to unplug the injector part of the edge and essentially just use it as a screen, which is fine, but have you personally seen it done? Thank you!

I live in Alberta, so it would be a daily driver tune. :)

The mini max allows you to clear a code which can keep you going & keep the vehicle from shutting down

When you delete the DPF system, are you removing the def fluid from the tank or removing the tank altogether?

After I EGR delete is it okay if i DON'T change my tune? Will I get a check engine light? I have an Banks Tuner with basic mod tunes, not sure if that's good enough or if It'll throw codes because the EGR isn't communicating? (2011 RAM 2500)

So far I found this video useful it’s been a couples of weeks trying to get a good decent tuner!!! With a good program (tuner) on it. I got a ram 2020 6.7 and I have been doing my research about this and I don’t decide what kind on tuner gets. What are your thoughts on the mm3 with coopers custom solutions or the ez link with the same tuner? Cause I’m seeing that Optimal welding got goods reviews but still cannot find reviews of ccs. And now with the sue for ez link do you think could affect on something that could get it harder to get support for it. Can u help me with this please!! Thanks

Personally I use ccs and have never had an issue. I don’t think ez lynk is going to be effected by the lawsuit.

Does ezlynk load tunes on multiple trucks or do I need one for each truck?

Is it worth it getting a tune for your diesel if you are not deleting anything?

I have an ez lynk auto agent on my 6.7 cummins and am looking for a new company to get tunes from. Any recommendations?

Never installed bank but I am familiar with bullydog. To be honest, I am not a fan of bullydog tunes. I know multiple people who have had issues with their tunes. But to answer your question, if you buy a bullydog tuner in Canada you can get one that deletes the emissions, but if you are buying a bullydog tuner in the states I don’t think it can remove emissions. If you have a newer truck with DEF I’d really recommend efi live or ez-lynk.

I get my parts straight from the suppliers. If you live in Canada you can get stuff from dirty diesel customs, they are great to deal with

Is it easy going right back to stock tune in a 19 powerstroke from an ez link tune to run the egr and dpf filter. Putting the filter and plugging the egr back in is easy but i know nothing about tunes. I cant find the answer to this question anywhere

Nice video, so I do have a 15 Duramax and got it deleted they put a bullydog on … I see everyone Is praising about Efi live I’m towing a 10k lb enclosed 16‘ trailer my question is am I hurting anything if I keep bullydog at a tow tune? Or should I make the switch to Efi live ? Is Efi just a nicer way but Bullydog not necessary bad ? Thanks

Love your videos man. I just installed my delete on my 2015 Cummins with ez link sotf. Only question I have though is when loading tunes do you need to turn the sotf switch to load each of your 5 tunes? I can't seem to find any clarity on this discussion.

No, you only load one tune file, it’s a special sotf file. Once you load it the switch should automatically switch between different power levels.

The switch doesn’t even have to be installed or plugged in to load the sotf tune.

Yeah you have to tune it and you also have to remove the DPF by installing an aftermarket exhaust

Purchased a 16 F350 6.7 truck with unknown tunes and a 5 position SOTF on it. Wondering if the EZ Lynk would read the tunes and give me a description of the tunes and their positions on the switch? Any ideas on how I could find that out?

Yup they are fine tuners too, I actually have MM3 in my 5.9 Cummins, mainly because efi live doesn’t support 5.9s.

Is it worth tuning a stock 2016 duramax? Looking to possibly keep def atleast for now. The plan is for this to be my future toy hauler so just looking to maximize fuel mileage until i save up again for the toys.

Personally I wouldn’t bother just because the LML engines are already super fuel efficient. I’d use the money towards an aftermarket air intake instead like S&B intake.

I’ve never used the cts3 as a tuner but I’ve sold lots of cts3 monitors and guys love them

Aren’t all the Mini Maxx units refurbished/fake units since H&S stopped making them years ago?

I have a 2016 6.7 dodge. Previous owner put a bully dog into it. Used to have a 2013 6.7 with efi live from armour inc. Does it make sense that the 2013 with efi live have much better fuel mileage vs the bully dog equipped truck? Same tire size same gearing. I dont see how this is possible unless the truck was lying to me lol

How much r the tunes usually

Does the EFI live or the Easy link work on a 22 Ram 6.7? We’ve been trying to get Optimal industry to actually install on the truck with a donor ecm. Still won’t work and optimal is not helping, not returning calls,emails, dm. I’m 4000 into this tune and HP tuners are a scam. And the truck is dead in the water for a month waiting on help from Optimal. Please help.

Once you tune the truck you can unplug the ez lynk. You only have to plug it in if you want to watch your gauges on your phone or change the tune

The only way I’ve done eco diesel is by actually sending the ecm to a company and they bench flash it then send it back to me. But I’ve heard you can get some obd tuning options, I just don’t have any experience with them. Go find my video on deleting a ram ecodiesel and read the comments

Yeah if your minimax dies it will just default to the lowest tune setting and stay there forever.

I’m trying to figure out what tuner I need to get for my 2016 lml. Everyone says efi live cause it tunes your transmission too which is what I want. But h and s is also a monitor and can clear codes. Can you help me out with this please?

You could also get a smarty jr for your 5.9, they are good too. The reason I went mm3 is because I had to get custom tunes for my engine upgrades but if you aren’t doing any serious upgrades a smarty jr will be fine

Its the same as a mm3 tuner, except that the raceme ultra has preloaded box tunes . You can also load custom tunes as well with the sd card. So far i love my raceme ultra.

I bought a 2008 Ram 6.7 with 200k. everything looks stock but it never regens. It puffs a little smoke when I get on it. Is there any way to tell if it's been deleted?

Go underneath the truck and look at the exhaust pipe. See if it still has a dpf filter, or if it’s just a normal looking exhaust pipe. If it doesn’t have a dpf filter then it’s deleted

Then it shouldn’t be deleted, but you never know. Usually they don’t smoke when they have a dpf filter. Sometimes guys just punch out the dpf filter and bolt it back up to look stock.

@@darkirondiesel The only problem with that is now you have a bomb waiting to go off that is if you just knock out the guts and allow unburned fuel to collect in the PDF shell 👀
