Let's talk about the proper way to meditate

Let go of all kinds of expectations about the way you experience meditation. Usually, people tend to expect a specific result when they meditate... One of them is to "clear the mind" or avoid thinking. But this is impossible. If there is a lot going on in your life right now, it is normal for your mind to be busy. Trying to clear your mind only generates more tension... Which is the opposite of what you are looking for with meditation. Relaxation should be the goal. Even if there are things that create tension in your life... Meditation should be a way of learning to relax within the tension. Something that will be very useful to replicate in your day-to-day life.

Funny, but I use acceptance in all other areas of my life, but I had never linked it with my meditation. So much of what you said resonated with me, thanks for the tips. Am anticipating it will take a bit of practice for this to become second nature as with any new skill. Will go try that right now...😊
