It seems to me Legion are only focused on making a living off of their brand promotion. Any criticism to the brand is bad for them. They are getting a shit ton of publicity, notoriety, and 💰 from Zwift. I would love to see legion enter a team against top Zwift racing amateurs and get humiliated by Olympic rowers, and amateurs who won pro contracts.

I’m a long way from being in the mist of top cycling. And was wondering a couple nights ago if this mess of not paying out all the winners was corrected. Seems not! Also seems tacky to pay out to legion and not the others. Guess old saying is correct, money controls the ones with their hands on the most. I also think it’s poor that they are not paying out just because the Europeans do not. Just isn’t right to not pay out as teams were led to believe. The money should be in a bank before the race. If not don’t race, for money anyway

Justin Williams is a FAILED professional cyclist. He didn't succeed at the Pro Tour level and rather than learning from that experience he claims lack of diversity (aka racism) as the problem. Just because he dominates the pro criterium scene in America doesn't mean he is the top dawg. I would like to see this dominance carry over to other disciplines of cycling that doesn't involve sprinting. If he and Legion can't do that then they aren't exactly doing much. Sorry. I've been leary of Legion for a long time. Their hostility to individual racers in their own videos is a bad look. They act like they are going to battle instead of putting on tight pants and spinning pedals. They bully other riders off of their lines with shouting and screaming like they own the exclusive right to race tactically. Meanwhile, everyone is fawning over them and ignoring the shady stuff because they get a new demographic riding. By all means call them out, so someone who treats the sport with respect can take the reigns and teach the people they are exposing to riding that it should be fun, first and foremost. There is a reason that Justin couldn't get along with his housemates in Europe. It's because he is hard to get along with and his personal narrative is bull. I’m a teacher and teach for a living because I believe in the path. Teach. Guide. Educate. Inform. Expose. When it comes to cycling, it’s mostly a hobby and I have to say it, NorCal did soooooo much more than Legion ever did when it comes to guiding and promoting the sport. At least that’s from my point of view. Argument: Have Legion ever did a video like “How To Ride Your First Crit” on KZread or something? Not that I am aware of or at least have access to. That’s another form of “gatekeeping” which NorCal Cycling doesn’t do. The only time they ‘educate’ is when they lost a race telling other people to hold their line or something which is more like whining than anything else. 😅 I am with NorCal on this one.

I do always think it's kinda whack that these guys show up as a national level team to lower level "title" events and win them. The prize being, "I beat all of you, who aren't pro, and in a race where I'm not actually eligible for the title." I really looked up to Justin and the whole Legion team while getting into crit racing a few years back. Loved hearing him on Payson's podcast for awhile. Loved what they were doing for the sport and crit racing at scale. Really sours everything whenever I see them get Actually Mad when people have constructive criticism such as, "You should pay out the prize pool from that race you put on".

Hi Jeff. I think that you can't even imagine how much good you are doing for the cycling and some amateur cyclists community. I am from Poland, always been a "solo" rider, doing some 100km road bike trips to keep fit and healthy. Thanks to you I was willing to give a second chance to local group rides and to rediscover the passion for cycling. I watched a ton of your movies, listened to your advices and although I rarely race, my riding style has improved a lot. Sometimes I find myself hearing your voice before the corner mentioning the positioning and keeping the momentum etc. There are many different channels on YT focusing on different aspects of cycling (technology, racing, Zwift etc.), but you have a special place, next to mentioned LR bringing the cycling closer to normal people, showing different POV than in TV and making us (at least me) think differently about the sport that we all love. God bless you! Keep up the great work and continue with the way you have taken.
