If I had a nickel every time Sullivan woke up as an evil player in a social deduction game and the other evil player forgot to do the same, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice

0:56 I personally knew the creator of this game. Rob and I were in the same Boardgame Group down in the Tampa Area. I was actually one of the Beta Testers of the game. He was in the middle of creating another game with a Western Theme when unfortunately he passed. 😢 Great man, great friend. RIP, Buddy. Miss you.

FYI: Burke was the name of Paul Riser's character in Aliens. He was the corporate stooge who wanted to infect Ripley and Newt so he could smuggle an alien back to Earth. (Also, I believe hearing that they filmed Aliens in the UK, so if Burke has a British slang term then it's very possible that's why they named him that.)

Burke sounds like "berk" which is short for "Berkshire hunt" which is rhyming slang for a word I'm not going to use here. Or so I've been told.

What a great game. The dice really act as the great equalizer. Don't see a lot of random chance in a lot of social deduction style games outside the opening. I like it.

Surely, "Burke's Gambit" is a reference to Aliens? In Aliens, Carter Burke is the one working for "The Company" trying to get a parasitic alien sample back to Earth.

This was so much fun Especially playing along by not knowing who were the corpos cuz I closed my eyes during the initial reveals The final result of the second game made me jump out of my seat. It felt like a movie ending where the evil corpos did everything including suicide to spread the infection but by sheer luck the good guys saved the world from being infected

My gawd! The ending to that second game. Pure poetry that cannot be scripted

I forgot to say it on the actual videos, so I’ll say it here. Honey Heist was possibly the best rpg I’ve seen on KZread, there wasn’t a minute that passed without me giggling into my hand, desperately trying not to wake the dead. Watch it if you haven’t, rewatch it if you have. I know I will.

@@TheLastSane1not really "sold out", scalpers got to them on release and so everything is "for sale" online for 2-3 times the price of msrp. As a card game player, it has been near impossible to find product thanks to scalpers along with low supplies in general.

Definitely a lot of salt in the community directed at scalpers and LGS who are selling at triple MSRP etc. It's a struggle. Thankfully more print runs have already been ordered. Just gonna take time.

I am 10 minutes in and I am in TEARS from laughter this is fantastic

Social deduction games are so fun with this group. Just drama and tension and breakdowns all around.

This is a really good game 1) sully u are a really good actor 2) Laurie - dice gods and Blood on clock tower gods are not on your side but love your deduction skills non chance based games 3) Dom you have good theatre skills love u for that Jon and Holly love your chaos. I love this channel a lot

Fun session! Just a heads-up to anyone watching...you aren't forced to resolve the second die throw. The game designer Rob Yates himself clarified this at the BGG forum back in 2017. So these guys play that part wrong, only the engine power-up roll HAS to be played, otherwise you can always return the die to the bag without effect if you wish...

Been feeling much better about this channel nowadays. Glad the rocky road seems to be rolling by, and you all have an amazing rapport together regardless of who's there. I can't wait to see how you all move forward 💖

Great job making possibly the funniest ad read I've ever seen. Sullivan delivered all those quotes with aplomb. Also, another great character performance by Dom.

This game seems much more straightforward than social deduction games need to be. I prefer mechanics that add more mystery and potential for intrigue. Watching an NRB playthrough is still very enjoyable though

The ending of the second game was fantastic! The setup was so perfect! I loved this episode!
