Let's Learn English! Topic: Hobbies and Pastimes! 🔭♞ (Lesson Only)

Is learning English your hobby? Sometimes I wonder if learning a language is a hobby or if it is work! Anyways, welcome to this English lesson about hobbies and pastimes! It's important to learn how to talk about your hobbies and pastimes in English as it is a very common conversation topic. If you're wondering, hobbies and pastimes are the things we do for fun when we're not at work or in school.
In this English class I'll help you learn English vocabulary about hobbies and I'll teach you English phrases you can use to talk about bird watching, knitting, writing, acting and many more hobbies.
Note: This English lesson will focus on hobbies that ARE NOT sports! I think I've already done a lesson on that!
I hope you enjoy this English lesson about hobbies!
✅ The slides to go with this lesson can be found right here: docs.google.com/document/d/1m...
⌛ Remember: Always watch the video two times. Once today with English subtitles on, and once tomorrow with the English subtitles off. This will reinforce the English you have learned!

When I was about 11 years old I took up collecting stamps. I was charmed by those little pieces of paper. I use to buy stamps, exchange them and then enjoyed scrutinizing those fancy pictures. Half of them were vivid, colorful and glossy a few even smelled nicely so I could breathe in the alluring aroma, Much of the other part of the collection was simpler: motionless images printed in fairly plain colors on matte paper were intended for utilitarian purposes yet remained cryptic portals to other worlds in my fantasies.

Hi Bob! Thanx for the lesson. My hobbies are reading, listening to music and watching movies (mainly thrillers and dramas). When I was young, I liked video games and drawing. I enjoy traveling, too. Last year, I went to the US with just a backpack on my shoulders. I've been in LA, San Francisco, San Diego and Las Vegas. The Grand Canyon and the Monument Valley are gorgeous! Anyway, "bricolage" c'est juste! My mother language is italian but, being Swiss, I speak french, too.

Furthermore I like doing some winemaking... actually i make liquor, can i call it winemaking? I make liquor out jaboticaba, it's a brazilian fruit it's lloks kinda a berrie and it comes in black color, very yummy. I enjoy reading and finally the last one I like collecting medieval itens like drinkhorns, belts and whatnot. Besides, I've crafted my own chainmail and now i am looking out to a sword 😎

Hi Bob do you get along with your neighbor? Are you the friendly one in your neighborhood or are you the crank? Well, today it doesn't matter because this day is all about new beginnings. It's a wave of all fingers on your neighbors' day! Don't laugh, this is a real vacation ... really! Instead of getting or giving that one-fingered wave as you walk by to get in the car, today open that hand and wiggle all of your fingers as you wave. You can only be surprised at the result. You might even get a fresh start!
