Let's Learn English! Topic: Groceries! 🛒 (Lesson Only Version - No Viewer Questions - Better Audio!)

This is the "Lesson Only" version of my English lesson about groceries. It does not contain the viewer questions that I answered during the lesson, they have been edited out. It is great for those of you learning English that like to re-watch the lesson or to use in an English classroom.
I hope you enjoy learning a few more English words and phrases about groceries!
The full lesson can be found right here: • Let's Learn English! T...
⌛ Remember: Always watch the video three times. Twice today with English subtitles on, and once tomorrow with the English subtitles off. This will reinforce the English you have learned!

Dear Bob, One of the first new words I learned on my visit to Canada has been "grocery store". I didn't learn it in the english lesson at my German school. But from the sound it remembered me to the German word for "big", that is "gross" in the German language, spoken 'groz' with an long 'o'. For that I looked up to the etymologie of the word "grocery store". And it is like this, this word has his roots in the German word "gross", that means a "big" store. In German the dubble 'ss' is speaken as a 'z', and in German this 'ss' is an spezial letter/sign 'ß'. But I think, this letter cannot been illustrated on a international komment.
