Drink every time you see a straw hat! ... Just kidding, I've been drinking the whole time. I remember this neo-victorian era, my mom dressed us in frilly dresses and put potpouri in the bathroom, but like the other commenter, this was never our reality.

Ha!! If only there were more places where fanciful flowered hats could reasonably be worn

OH MY GOD YES my mom always had a stack of these growing up and I loved to flip through them daydreaming my anne of green gables/jane austen fantasies. My childhood was full of parasols and uncomfortable frilly socks 😂 Thank you for this decadent excursion. Your commentary and editing are the best! I'd love to see Victoria here again 🎀👰💐👒

Thanks for watching! I’ve never actually read or watched Anne of GG, I should probably treat myself soon. BTW- More Victoria flips to come 👀

I remember this - I came across this mag on Ebay because it wan't available here in Australia . People would be selling lots of back issues and I'd buy them. Postage was a lot cheaper then because I was buying them from people in the US. I especially loved the Christmas and Spring issues - they were so colourful . So thanks for the nostalgia and my favourite page flipping sounds. 😀❤

Obsessed with the evil bride. She was definitely plotting something…. Probably how to leave her fiancé at the altar and run off with the woman she was playing footsie with at her tea party…. 👀👀👀

I used to buy this magazine all the time. I loved it and yet also found it oddly unsatisfying. It was mostly closeups of table settings or vignettes. It was definitely promoting some sort of lifestyle that bore no resemblance to my reality!
