Glad you liked it Robert. I was a little nervous about this one jut because so many in the community love the character and I really didn't know much about him prior to this.

Hope to own that Silver Surfer 4 someday....any grade. Thanks for all the hard work you do on these "Let's Collect" series

yeah that is definitely a great book almost anyone would want. Glad you like the series

Rebirth of Thanos is easily my favourite Silver Surfer stories, his time in Dynamo City being possibly one of my favourite Mavel stories period.

You're the only other person I've heard mention the dynamo city story. It's funny that a story that includes a cover with a de-powered silver surfer standing in an endless line with the title "job hunting" would be as good as it is. A true hidden gem.

One of the Dynamo city was the very first comic I got. From there, I started my very small and modest collection as a kid. Most of them being the Surfer.

I would've added FF 55, and Silver Surfer v.1 #17 for covers. I, along with (I'm willing to wager) most everybody, definitely place v.1 #4 as one of the best covers of all time. I really want that SS Black #2 variant. I can't believe I ignored it when it came out. That's one that has truly grown on me. Good rundown, Sir.

Kirby created him out of no where I can't remember the whole story but I think Stan liked the herald thing Kirby might of took him in another direction

Yep I think Stan came up with the idea of having a herald an let Kirby run with the design and when he saw the surfer he was what the heck but he quickly became a favorite of Stan's. Or at least that is my understanding.

4 used to absolutely out pace #1 in price but all the spec on the MCU has caused 1 to almost catch up, that is until that make a movie poster for the surfer movie that is a homage to #4. Man that would be 🔥

What's the difference between Fantasy Masterpieces Vol. 2 Silver Surfer #4 and the actual Silver Surfer #4?
