I am 76 years old and have never been happy with the fit of any pants I have made. Your enthusiasm for your patterns and courses have encouraged me to try pant sewing again.

Yes, enthusiasm makes me want to return to garment sewing.

Love Notions came up in conversation with a friend and my adult son's ears must have pricked up. He later came to me asking whether I had signed up to an online dating site. I had to explain that you were a pattern company and that 'notions' were the American equivalent of the English 'haberdashery'. Once he was reassured that his mum wasn't online looking for romantic love, I could get back to sewing blocks for a new quilt. Maybe though, if you are looking to expand, a dating site for singles who love to sew might be a winner.

Oh that is hysterical! You should let me know that he's not totally off base. Years ago, Tami had a few very angry husbands emailing what she sold that their wives were buying! I guess they thought it was a ... toy.... website of some kind. LOL!!!

I could so see me wearing these pants. At 82 I still love fasionable and comfortable pants. Thank you for this series.

It seemed like when I was younger, it was so much easier making pants that fit.

I used to think I had the oddest of bodies, but now realize we are all just different - no wonder I can’t get a pair of pants that fit! I’m ready to learn how to make bottoms - shorts, crops, slacks, and jeans - that fit me. I’m happy I can sew with you and all these other amazing sewists!

I have a flat seat, very full tummy and almost no waist, which makes fitting bottoms a real challenge. I have watched lots of KZread videos and I am happy to say that my toile (muslin) of the Summer Caye pants now fits beautifully and I will be making my first 'real' pair this weekend. I learned how to sew bottoms through Love Notions patterns. I have learned so much, and continue to learn new tips and tricks with each new pair I sew. Currently I am teaching my mother how to make the adjustments needed to make her own well fitting pants. It is such a fun bonding moment to share our love of sewing together.

Bottoms -- the hardest frontier to conquer

I conquered my fear of men’s shirts this spring and I would love to work with this fabulous bundle to conquer my “pant” intimidation. Have had success with initial resolution bottoms but haven’t tried any of the jeans. Learning every day and so happy to be on the journey with Love Notions!!

Perfecting the fit is the hardest part of pants sewing and the reason I haven’t sewn any. But I do want to perfect them and have a quality pair or two of well made pants.

I love stretch denim/twill and ponte for jeans. It's so comfortable and I love you've included that in this bundle. In high school I sewed all my clothes; pants, tops, jackets, coats, you name it I made it - out of necessity. Good fabric choices weren't available to me then (70's) like they are now. I go crazy with all the awesome fabrics to choose from for different apparel. Nowadays, people are using curtains, bedspreads, comforters, sheets, etc., and call it couture, bespoke, or vintage. I used those and called it necessity! Hahaha.

Bottoms are super scary. My very first pair of pants, black corduroy, which I made when I was a teen, I wore with all the flaws 😄. As someone who carries a little extra junk in my trunk 😂 I always need to change the back rise and sewing jeans is the scariest for me. I have the Legato pattern and Legato Course that I am about to purchase. I do own the Glissando but am yet to sew them up as I have to print them out.
