    That is cool. Both of these will go in my gift boxes to coworkers this year. Gotta get those rookies on the team. This is lighter and more versatile than carrying every single nut driver, and screwdriver "just in case". If they don't like it for work, they own it. They can take it wherever they want in life. Throw it in the truck, leave it at their cabin, give it to a friend in need, put it in the wife's tool kit, throw it out the window, whatever.

    Pray for me brothers. Just had all of my tools--ALL of them, power tools and hand tools--stolen this week. It'll take years to rebuild what I once had. Pray that I may still adequately provide for my family while I slowly build back up. By the way I really loved these drivers. Don't think the 1/4" combo holds the bit as well as it should but it definitely works well if you're trying to lighten your pockets.

  • @mumbles1justin
    @mumbles1justin Жыл бұрын

    I did this same combo last winter. The problem with it is Klein’s bit holders in the handles are crap tastic. I did a fee short video where I broke a half dozen or more at home service counter and warrantying them without even leaving the store then went to an electrical supply house and did the same thing. The problem is when you close the tail cap quickly or drop any Klein screw driver with the bits in the handle the lower retaining ring glue is popped free and all the bits become stuck under the bit holder. making the handle almost useless.

  • @MillisConstruction

    @MillisConstruction

    I usually end up swapping all the bits out to Wera anyway lol. That’s a great idea switching to Wera handles

  • @eds6569

    @eds6569

    Жыл бұрын

    Another thing that sucks about it is the plastic bit holders in the handle get loose after several times removing bits so I have to pinch 'em tight again w/needle nose so the bits don't come loose and rattle inside the handle waiting to fall out the moment I need to switch bits next.

    I have both of those and have played around with this configuration. The extension from the 14-in-1 has a feature the other one doesn't. There is a ball detent at the end of it so you can sit the 1/4 nut driver a little higher and have a deeper place to put the bit. If you leave the but shallow like he shows you'll risk the bit getting free of the magnet just like a screw does.

    My favorite screwdriver I've ever owned is a cheap screwdriver that I got from Ross, its designed like a revolver you just pull back on it and turn until it lines up with the bit you want then extend it and it automatically puts on the bit. its awesome is it's fast and easy to switch bits but my favorite thing about it is I won't ever lose a bit again because when you pull back on it it automatically stores the bit back in it's slot. I've been a mechanic for 15 years I wouldn't use it professionally because it has a couple draw backs but for personal use it's the best screwdriver I've owned.

    It'll be just fine. There's no way you're going to break it, unless you misuse it. Saying "they tend to break" makes it seem like it's a rampant issue, but it isn't. It's just not happening.

    Picked up the 20 in 1 yesterday, my only complaint is it's not ratcheting but other than that I love it

    You can also slide the 1/4" up the shank slightly over the retaining groove if a bit doesn't fit in it snug enough.

    Wish I saw this before ordering the 7 in 1 nut driver I’d have just got the 11 in 1 and ordered the driver attachment separately 😂

    if you look at the locking collar on the first one it's gnarled to allow you to grab it with a pair of pliers if necessary. It looks as if it's meant to take a heck of a lot more Force.

    If I didn’t already have my nice milwaukee ratcheting screw driver, I would have bought this HVAC screw driver for this because I already have the nut driver

    I did that and it’s great. The only thing you’ll have to do is put one of the least used bits to the side because you cannot store it with the bit attached because it will just fall off. But still great

    When you are using the 1/4 nut driver as a bit holder you pull up half way to get the depth needed to hold a bit.
