Let Love Win - The FatRat & Anjulie - Orff Instruments

• TheFatRat & Anjulie - ...
This arrangement sounds good quickly and can be put together pretty easily in 30 minutes with 4th and 5th graders. There is even time for an instrument switch if things go smoothly.
Before I introduce the song we practice the bassline rhythm by counting to eight (for the eighth notes) while clapping on counts 1-4-5.
We practice the chime chords before the music too, before we play. Chimes play whole notes. Practice with the video paused about 8 seconds in.
There are 9 chimes parts and 2 bassline parts. Bass bars sound great on this. And I use octavator caps on all the boomwhackers. Pause the video at the beginning and set up your classroom instruments accordingly so you can get instruments into your students' hands quickly.
Some chimes players get 2 instruments and some get only 1. This way each students gets roughly an even amount of notes to play.
I haven't tried this with xylophones and metallophones but I'm sure they would work nice too playing either the bassline and or the chimes part.
My favorite part is the end when the students play all by themselves.
I hope you and your students enjoy it.
