100% agree! I was not spanked or hit while growing up but my mother screamed at us every single day for everything, yelling all over the house. Almost like it was her “norm”. I remember as a young adult telling myself: I vowed that I wasn’t going to be treat my children like that. Today, married with 4 children (oldest 17, youngest 3). I don’t yell or scream. I have never ever hit, pushed, or hurt my children. In my most frustrating moments as a mother, I leave the room and find a place to be alone (even the restroom) and pray pray pray. The Lord comforts me, resets me, brings peace to my heart.
Your parenting techniques are the most godliest I’ve seen on KZread. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us viewers!

3 Deep breaths. I let it go, I'm okay. Smile- decision. Do something different. Thank ypu! This works for moms and adults too!
I’m 41, I see this helping me personally.
Great advice for adults as well. I've always smiled my way into a better mood & it works! 😁 My kids usually start giggling & forget what they are even upset at.
This literally came at the right time. Thank you for taking the time to make this content.

Yes ! We choose to feel 😊 Emotions do not control us and teaching our children that is crucial 👍
I love it when you said "I love sharing everything that I come up with you". God bless you even more. You have a blessed family. You are a role model mom. Good technic to teach kids and adults like myself who have a hard time managing negative emotions.
This was really helpful! This is great for us adults too. Thank you for sharing. Thank You Lord! ❤️
Your fourth idea of doing something different, is really important. I call it “changing the channel”. When nothing else helps, sometimes simply getting some fresh air by going for a walk is great. Movement activities (like your daughter’s cartwheels!) also really helps reset emotions for me and my family.
Thank you so much! I have been taking care of my little brother and sister this past month (my mom's out of town) and I have noticed many emotions arise. I prayed to God to help me a better sister and help them process their emotions and saw this video on my feed. Wow! Thank you for sharing this technique -- I will definitely use this!
I'm a kindergarten teacher and this is very helpful. Thank you.
Even though my twins aren’t really verbal I’m going to still try this and see if it will help, I’m also going to use this for myself lol thank you for sharing your techniques! 🙏🏽❤
I love how you say God’s love during the first step. These are great things to implement and really work. Our children are reminded and ask if they are walking in the the fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control. Thank you for sharing your process!

Hi Jady, Thanks so much for all the knowledge that you are sharing to us. I am an english preschool teacher in Japan, currently handling toddlers. I am using your videos and materials to enhance my teaching ability.
Wow this information is rarely seen but very much needed for everyone really but especially children who are still learning and becoming comfortable with feeling complex emotions 👏🏻👏🏻

Thank you Again Ms. Jady A,❤
Wow! This help me and I am the mama! Thank you. Love y’all God Bless y’all ❤
Thanks Jadey. I have a 5 year old granddaughter that I have been teaching this. I was teaching her what I do which is taking the deep breaths in thru the nose and slowly releasing & smiling so I was doing 2 of your 4 techniques already! She’s very head strong & I’m trying to implant love at all times. I do get discouraged when I often see her not feeling any gratitude or expressing it,but being demanding. I remind myself she is just 5 & yet such an intelligent little girl. I try my best to always express gratitude. I only have her a couple of times a week but I love how you are with your children & I love the tone of voice video too. I was a strong willed child, so was my son, & now her, so I’m sure it’s all coming from me, or my dad…..God changed my life while a young mother but still…all things take time. I have much more gentleness now than when my son was small. 🙏🏻
I love this all..but I absolutely loved when you breathed in and said gods love!! 💕🙏
Sadly, i only learned all these techniques later in life, after i got married. I used to hold a grudge for the longest time, thinking it teaches the person im mad at smth. Like silence treatment ever solved anything😅 it used to make me miserable to stew in my own negative thoughts. My husband taught me right away to communicate it. To let it out. Say what i think is wrong, come to resolution or compromise and let go. Since then my life was transformed dramatically and as a result we have the healthiest and most loving relationship. And i try my best to tesch my children the same techniques. To let it out. Communicate your anger, find a solution or compromise, apologize if necessary, make peace and let go. ❤❤❤❤❤ thank you Jady!!!! Truly remarkable tools you hsve shared with us! May God bless all of your wonderful family❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is a beautiful technique.❤ My child is 10 and so far I haven’t had to deal with any anger problems at all. I will remember this in the future just in case it happens. I wish techniques used today were used during my generation.
that technique sounds so good. i will try it put. i am also interested in the conflict mediation.
Beautiful. Thank you
This was wonderful Jady! Would love a conflict remediation video! That truly is an art! 😊
Thanks for sharing your techniques, I am going to use them in the classroom. Thanks from Italy 💖🙏
I need this for myself! Mom of 3 three and under …. Thank you jady
THANK YOU THANK YOU... this is an easy and uncomplicated method... for everyone...
Wow your videos helps me so much. Thank you!
Such a great technique. We will be using this from now on! I never thought about writing down a list we can do when we are upset to help us feel better. 😊
Great tips, emotional intelligence is very important. Mom of 4 here and one of my child struggles on this topic. Will try your tips, thank you!
I do this I let my kids count to ten and take a deep breath, smile, and hug. Sometimes we count 3 times in 3 different languages, by the time they are done they feel better.
I love this! Thank you for sharing.
I need to practice these tips first!!!!! Lol ❤ you are an amazing blessing to the KZread community!!! ❤
Jady thank you very much for your tips! I will try this technique with my eldest daughter ❤🎉😊
Thank you for sharing! I love your ideas, videos and workbooks. Very helpful.
I absolutely love this! ❤️ Definitely needed this today! Thank you for sharing!
thanks so much~ :-) randome question.. did you make that slime or buy it? :-)
I like these techniques. We already do the breathing for my three year old. However, I’d like to add one thing to your list… allowing your children to be sad rather than immediately going to smiling. Reason being you can choose to have a good attitude but if your child has been wounded emotionally then a smile isn’t enough. They need to know God loves them even though they’re sad. I would hate for my child to feel like they always have to be happy. In fact we have little wooden toys that show all of the different emotions. I just want to caution parents not to push an unhealthy expectation that their kids must be perfect and get over things quickly. Let’s be honest God doesn’t require that of us. So please whilst I love this video just take caution with the whole smile thing.

I understand the smile does not come easy but getting angry and upset over small petty things is habitual and I want children to know they can change that frown to a smile if they choose to let it go. I pray with my children daily every time I discipline them because this battle can not be fought alone. If they do not want to smile do not push it, my kids enjoy changing the frown to a smile and we turn it into a joke most days! Petty things need to be let go of and handled differently.
Thank you so much for sharing! Very inspiring!
I will try it
How did i miss this , love the ideas even for us moms lol
Thank you so much for this topic! Great video! Awesome technique! This is so helpful for our family.
Thank you. It is good for me as an adult to try.
This is great infusion can’t wait to try it thanks for sharing
So grateful 🙏
Yes!!! Love this!
This is such a beautiful technique
Thank you jaddy for the most wanted video
Please make this video for children to watch and learn
Thank you again Jada. I will personally be using this for myself 😂, only, I don't have slime🤭. Truly 🌟🤲🏾🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🥰🌹🤲🏾
What if the kid gets back to what frustrated him/her despite doing these 4 steps ? This is a genuine doubt since kids are kids at end of the day . Btw great technique Jady
Thankyou. So helpful. ❤
Hi Jady your content is incredible! It's so helpful for me in raising and parenting thankyou ❤ from pakistan.. keep it up!
Thanks a ton for the great clear explanation 😊
Thanks for sharing 👍
I love this process. How do you suggest teaching it to a 2.5 year old?
Beautiful
You are amazing
Jady, what would you recommend us do for a four year old that loves boxes? She is so creative and loves to make her own toys, but I really don’t know what to do with all the boxes and craft supplies anymore. She also takes stuff from all over the house and makes “things” with them, but I don’t know what to do with them. Should I just have her put it all back? Would it be killing her creativity if I threw away all her creations? I really don’t know. Any tips? I’m all ears. Thank you
Hello, do you have any suggestions for a child that is not homeschooling? Specifically for step 4 since they aren't able to stop and play or hug someone? My son is struggling a bit with frustration when assignments are hard.
This method is just as helpful for adults. I felt a release just practicing it myself 😂😂 Did you record the conflict mediation meeting you mentioned? Please share!
Does this work well in the middle of a meltdown? I’m going to try this with my kids
@JadyA
Жыл бұрын
no this need to be taught before meltdowns so they have a grip on their emotions and do not get to a meltdown!
When my son gets really angry he won’t even talk to me. It’s like he’s mad at me when I had nothing to do with it. He’s 7. If I tried to get him to do this he would just scream “I’m not doing that!” and get more mad. Any tips?
Do you have a video on the conflict mediation?
What if your child screams "no" and just refuses to take the deep breaths?
Do you think number 5 is to apologize if your mad at someone , what can we do next time instead getting angry THANKS
Thanks for this video. It's very helpful for my daughter. But how about with older children.. in my school. She has a problem about her parents having outside affairs..? They are crying in front of me .

How can I help them?
Great ideas!! Is the slime homemade?
Jady, did this take a few weeks for the kids to cooperate (the smile part in particular sounds hard)?

Yes it takes time to change habits! Being angry and upset over petty things is habitual but it can be changed.
Hello i amm watching your videos sinc many years.
How do you organize this for the kids to recall? Is there a visual to help remind them of this, or are you helping guide them?
❤
I’m sure this will also work for My kids too but I’m using it for myself hahaaha
I wish that you had been my mom.
Thank you for this video, does this work with toddlers? I am struggling with my daughter who is 3 years 3 months old and has now started in the past two months, hitting herself and banging her head when she is frustrated or angry. I would really welcome advice as it is definitely not for attention.
My sister does not listen and when someone's sad she is happy help pls
Please how do I start my preparations for a homeschool i want to start next year? What courses do I need to take and what do I need to do?

Take a deep breath and go with the flow! For real The harder I tried and more stuff I collected the more I got stressed .
Our kids don't listen to these techniques.
This seems unrealistic for older children. I have a 8 and 10 year old boys who can't seem to focus on anything. Your concentration videos didn't help I took their devices but it didn't work because they remembered all the garbage from their devices.. can you make a video to aim for older children who may have already too far gone. What do we do to get them to behave and focus
@JadyA

What seems unrealistic is to think that by introducing a technique one day or an activity will somehow miraculously change years of damage. It takes work to mold children and ultimately you are responsible for that molding. It takes a long time to change bad behavior in children. Habits take atleast 45 days to become engrained. If you want them to change it will take work, patience and perseverance.
