egirlnet I also like that passage, but I think it was quite an unhappy choice the following "Ici je vis la vie que j'ai choisie - Je suis partie pour reconstruire ma vie", the repetition of "vie" in the second sentence is too heavy...

@@cjk51 the French version and its lyrics have never blown me away, but nonetheless have I always deemed them better than the English version, with all its lazy repetitions and empty lines. But then again, neither have ever stood out to me, my favourites have always been others.

@@FlamSparks Dude you're joking ? Many french youtubers compared these 2 versions, and we all noticed that the lyrics in english concern Elsa and how she feels. I dont know how clearly explain this buh the words are very strong and the song is very well constructed, there are many important elements that Elsa expresses. if I have to summarize, I would say that the English version focuses on Elsa's personality and what she actually feels. And the french version is more poetic, it focuses on the beauty of words so it's less interesting for the film's story.

@@cjk51 oh, a childish and selfish "I don't care what they're going to say" wins so easily over the attempt of researching beauty? Woh, art is officially dead. As I said, the English version has always sounded rather childish and needlessly aggressive, leftovers of the time when it had been conceived as a villain song and never quite maneged to shake this initial imprint off. Quite a few versions tried a tad harder and succeeded, French being one of these. But again, not one of the best results either, in my opinion. But if course, if you dare labelling this as "poetic" and consider it to be a negative factor, I won't expect your raw mind to understand lyrics like the Cantonese, Italian or Czech ones, with their "I know I will set like the sun, because then I will rise at dawn" or "I blossom during storms and the frost in my soul defeats the sun"

Diana Sofia You're welcome, it's really a pleasure for me to read this kind of comments ^-^ About what you said in the Italian pop version, I really don't want to compare movie and pop version, since they are not the same song and ask for different evaluations. Anyway, I feel like, in the Italian version, Martina so focused on the language and its pronunciation, that she left a little behind the performance itself (indeed, I farly prefer her Spanish version...). About her accent, I can't hear the typical Spanish accent (she doesn't force the "s" too much), she only mispronounces vowels (sometimes too opened, sometimes too closed) and double letters (e.g. at 3:02 she's pronouncing "fredo" instead of "freddo"), but it actually is no big deal...

BarerMender Well...to be honest, I can see your point. But it's not exactly like this...both expressions (especially "c'est ainsi") are pretty common in everyday language, so they're not so _casting spell-like_ as they might seem. You could even translate "c'est dit" with "so it is said", but I personally feel like translating "c'est ainsi" with something like "so mote it be" would sound way more aulic than what that "ainsi" really is...

Revan Anche io preferisco la versione pop a quella del film (che onestamente non mi fa impazzire). Personalmente, non butterei via la versione pop italiana. Certo, non è il massimo, non regge il confronto con molto altre e Martina è certamente stata presa per pubblicizzare violetta, ciò nonostante, lei è certamente in grado di cantare e non me la sento di accantonarla con così poco... Eheh, benvenuto/a nella cricca, sappi che io sono entrata nel giro 2 anni fa, e non sono minimamente in procinto di uscirne xD

Sicuramente Martina è in grado di cantare (anche se non so proprio cosa sia il programma di cui parli e in cui... recita?), ma dopo avere ascoltato l'Autieri, con quella sua voce da sovrana... mi dispiace, ma non c'è proprio gara! I titoli di coda sono una doccia fredda, al confronto xD . Il multilanguage mi affascina ma al contempo mi turba: nel senso che fa impressione ascoltare così tante (buone) versioni della stessa canzone e pensare che anche i bambini di popoli insospettabili (cinesi, arabi!) crescano a pane e Disney. Scusa, è un discorso sconclusionato e ovvio, ma non ci avevo mai riflettuto prima di scoprire il multilanguage.

Revan Il programma che ho citato è una telenovela argentina "musicale", una cosa abbastanza oscena a parere di molti, ma visto che è della Disney, hanno tutto l'interesse a pubblicizzarla (in molti paesi in cui non è stata adattata la canzone dei titoli di coda, invece che quella inglese, hanno usato la versione latinoamericana proprio per questo motivo). Certo, tutti sappiamo che la nostra Serena è una regina, ma d'altronde una canzone pop non ha certo le stesse pretese della versione originale xD Eheh, sono pensieri che sconvolgono un po' tutti all'inizio, ma poi, per contrasto, si inizia a dare questo fatto per scontato, sperando che molti altri paesi si aggiungano alla lista :)
