I was there that day in 1971, Renfro Valley, Ky talked with Lester out behind the stage for a few minutes. the bluegrass singers were very friendly back then, they would hang around and talk with folks before and after singing on stage...It was a different time back then!

There's nothing harder than playing top notch "simple Bluegrass", but for a while these guys never ever did it any other way! Oh my goodness! In their prime! Just gatherin' 'round a few misplaced mics and nailing it perfectly, like the truly amazing, honestly straight forward musicians that they were! RIP Mac Wiseman!
