Hi Kerstin! So sorry for the delay. Some comments slipped by. Yes, it is an expansion on the very beginning of Fundamental Properties of Movement from Moshe Feldenkrais' 1972 Esalen Workshop

Thank you for the lesson. At the start of the lesson are we allowing for natural head movement?

Hello Darlene - At the start of the lesson, when moving your arms toward your head, ideally your head will remain quiet. However, you certainly can allow for natural head movement, as you do not want to use extra effort to keep your head fixed. Hopefully as you go on, you can reduce any extra effort in your head and neck so that your head remains quiet in the movement. I hope that is helpful. - Best, Morgan with Feldenkrais Access

Thanks for writing. The kinesthetic cues are not meant to be directive. It is really a language issue. They are meant to invite you to feel what is happening, and even an absence of sensation or a different sensation than what is being suggested can be very valuable for your nervous system to learn and develop new habits. Keep it up, and I feel confident you will feel some differences!
