🔴Tip . I use a french press coffee maker to strain flax seed gel. I bought it specially for the flax seed gel. It is a game changer. I put the gel in a conditioner bottle or applicator bottle .

I just commented something like this! I bought my French press solely for the purpose of making flaxseed gel too! 😂 it really is a game changer. I wouldn’t even bother making flaxseed gel if I didn’t have it!

Great minds think alike. 😂. I am glad I discovered it several years back. I hated straining it. I even found a way to freeze it ,thaw for later, and get constancy back by heating it in a small sauce pan..

Many flax seed gel recipes use approximately 2 1/2 cup water and 1/4 cup flaxseeds. That is about a 10:1 ratio. If you add more water the gel will still be very thick after it cools and is a lot easier to strain. It is easier to strain before it cools down as you did. I like the chopsticks!

I literally started laughing because I remember you were like wash n go’s weren’t your thing. I’m so glad that you love them now! Once you master them they literally become so easy. My struggle now is that I’ve mastered my wash n go and any other style like braid outs and twist outs I’m terrible at them!

Awesome video I originally started using flaxseed gel when I had locs to retwist cause my hair was SO thick I needed extra hold but didn’t want to use waxes and stuff just added a bit of oil and agave and it would last at least 3-4 weeks as long as I wrapped my hair….
