Les Misrables (Do you hear the people sing) Complete

Ойын-сауық

Les Misrables (Do you hear the people sing) Complete - 10th Anniversary Concert.
For the one who was a slave when called to faith in the Lord is the Lord's freed person...
You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings.
Fight the good fight of the faith.
Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.
1 Corinthians 7:22-23; 1 Timothy 6:12; Ephesians 6:11

In fact.. Jean's entire misery was CAUSED by the events of the aftermath of the French Revolution.. but hey.. let's cling to those myths of what happened and not what Hugo wrote and what Webber built on, shall we?!?

Next time a minority encounters a Karen or a Permit Patty or a Barbecue Betty, a group of them and their supporters should gather in front of that lady’s house and sing this song more than loud enough for her to hear inside of her house.

With all due respect to your personal message, the composer and lyricist and the English translator of this song are all Jewish. Though, the Jewish Bible clearly demonstrates that each of us is required to atone for our own sin, the message of “Can You Hear the People Sing” is, certainly, universal, it seems to resonate with your Christian orientation, and rings true in the hearts of those of us who fight for justice. I appreciate that you chose from the 10th Anniversary. To me, it is the most powerfully magnificent and astonishingly beautiful.

Isaiah 53 Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him. He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment, And who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; For the transgressions of My people He was stricken. And they made His grave with the wicked- But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand. He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities. Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.

French version: Enjolras: For the will of the people, And for the health of the progress, Fill up your heart with rebel wine, And till tomorrow, faithful friend! If the beating of your heart, Is as strong as the beating drums, It means that hope still does exist For the average man. Combeferre: We will build a barricade, The symbol of a new era which dawns, We leave on a crusade to the heart Of the land of France. Courfeyrac: We are henceforth soldiers Of an army that will advance! All: For the will of the people, And for the health of the progress, Fill up your heart with rebel wine, And till tomorrow, faithful friend! If the beating of your heart, Is as strong as the beating drums, It means that hope still does exist For the average man. Feuilly: For the will of the people, I am ready to give my will as well, If some must die for it, Then I want to be the first, Whose name shall be written Upon the monument of hope! All: For the will of the people, And for the health of the progress, Fill up your heart with rebel wine, And till tomorrow, faithful friend! If the beating of your heart, Is as strong as the beating drums, It means that hope still does exist For the average man. Reprise: For the will of the people, None can extinguish our voice, And so the song will ring out forever As it had so long before, We wish that our light, Will penetrate the mask of night, To illuminate our land And to change our lives. The glorious day will come, When on its march to the ideal, Mankind will progress from evil to good And from falsehoods to truth, A dream may yet die, But hope lives on forever! Will you join in our crusade, Of those with hopes for humanity? For every fallen barricade, One hundred more will rise again! For the will of the people, We hear the sound of distant drums, Announcing the future that they bring When tomorrow comes! Will you join in our crusade, Of those with hopes for humanity? For every fallen barricade, One hundred more will rise again! For the will of the people, We hear the sound of distant drums, Announcing the future that they bring When tomorrow comes! Ah! Tomorrow comes!

People who think this song is political are absolute jokes. This song is more than an “representation” or “rally cry” for your own political views. This song is about the world coming to realize that every man is equal. “Then join in the fight that will give you the right to be free!” This song is about the sacrifices our ancestors made to allow us to live in a free society. What do we complain about in modern days? Restrictions on drugs, restrictions on guns, higher taxes, being obligated to go to school (for younger people). Y’know what poor citizens of authoritarian governments would complain about? Unjust laws. Enslavement. Forced unemployment. Police brutality on a mass scale. Famine. Disaster that governments would do nothing to prevent. Random acts of violence. Being robbed of all your money and possessions by the government, the same entity that was supposed to protect you. Today, first-world countries are filled with absolute bitches (like probably everyone reading this comment, including me) who throw tantrums when they can’t find the TV remote, or misplace their phone, completely ignorant to the living hell that still exists for millions outside of their country’s borders. To this day, there are millions of children unsure if they will wake up in the morning, and yet we have the audacity to associate this piece of art with our own selfish political views. This song is about the hope for people suffering all over the world, because for many of them, hope is all they have left. Not getting the guy you want elected into power is not “suffering”. A bill being passed that regulates gun control is not “suffering”. It is victims of bigotry, hate, and violence that are suffering. It is the people who have nothing but hope remaining who are suffering. It is the children unsure if they will survive the night who are suffering. That is what this song is about.

Great Pity this didn't reach past Thatcher's stint as Prime Minister of the UK. Those miners who fought to keep their jobs and their communities were far sighted in their long fights with Government hell bent on selling every single piece o Nationally owned property, goods and services. They have begun this again, despite them having to bring back some entities which they previously described as better off away from Public Ownership . Railways brought back in many parts. Scotland has been great at bringing railways back 8nto Public Ownership. It's a bit concerning for those in England who might find these organisations are only building them back into Public ownership in a temporary way so that they can be refloated on Stock Exchanges around the world. Beware what's happening to the NHS. It's being siphoned of little by little. GP organisations being sold lies. And some GPS furthering this stealth. VIGILANCE NHS. begun this

You'll have to tell it to the Muslims now controlling the UK who are imposing sharia on England. Thatcher is gone and england is a firmly totalitarian state. She actually tried to stop it. Socialists love to hide behind a mask of social justice. But they are anti freedom and have a hidden agenda of establishing a Marxist dictatorship and one world govt.

When the people sing against police brutality or fair wages, though, you don't care don't you? Only when your God-Emperor Trump tells you to.

@@MichaelBoyer213 I mean your right kind of. There were two "right wing" groups that were on opposite sides of the revolution. But regardless in 2021 I think most people equate this song to a marxian communist revolution. Which your correct is historically completely wrong. In 2021 I am terrified we have already lost the long term war for the west. Colleges and liberal arts schools have indoctrinated to many that now hold power within every major institution. We should have paid attention much sooner than 2020 to what our children were being taught.
