You can see the clear difference when a lioness hunts alone comapred to a leapord, a leapord just knows how to mazimize all the ground it its advantage, the grass, bushes, vantage points, and a leapord probably has the quickest first step of all the big cats(except maybe a mountain lion).

It never ceases to amaze me how these Big Cats are able to so quickly and precisely get into the correct position to kill their prey while also avoiding getting injured. I heard that even the hooves of Warthog can serve as daggers for defense when needed, and yet the positioning of this Leopard makes the kick of this Warthog totally useless as far as harming this leopard. I'm so fascinated with the leopard, very patient in it's hunting, to see one simply hoist it's prey up a tree is remarkable. Incomprehensible strength and truly stunning to see one up close. Great video again Rob, thank you for your dedication and excellent work.

The Leopard has to be one of the most efficient apex predators, kills with efficiency, cleaner and swifter than what a much larger Lion would do. Then drags its prey into the trees where it can feed at will without the hoards of scavengers on its case, that is if it makes it to the trees with its prey. Excellent video. Nature as it is, hopefully we maintain natural habitats and increase them so apex predators can thrive, which in turn means everything thrives.

You've got to admire that warthog's fighting spirit. It just wouldn't give up without a fight! My guess is that by the looks of the light, the battle must have lasted around/at least half an hour! That's fighting for survival for ya!

That Leonard's jaws must've felt like lead weights after that battle!! He deserves his hands-on meal. Wow - this was epic! It always surprised me when I see this. The warthog has such tiny feet to hold their heavy bodies! Very curious. Thanks guys, for sharing ALL of the fight! Most big cats kill their prey by crushing the windpipe.. not by slashing the arteries. So most of their kills die slowly and some are eaten alive. This is how it always happens. Brave little bugger to take on such big prey. Warthogs are nasty creatures that would gladly eat YOU if you were the only thing around. So don't feel so bad.

True. I have a hard time feeling bad for hogs though. They are really nasty. Leopards will usually try to avoid confrontation. If you get too close to a hog's mud wallow good luck. They are a nuisance too. They breed like crazy and can eat several acres of seed in 1 night.

atomgonuclear they are breeding wils in southern England profusely now for several years, and other parts of the uk. apparently illegal set frees. one wandered onto the motorway in south uk last week and a car swerved to avoid it, still hit it, and then crashed head on into a truck. cardriver killed. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, cougars and most of the other cats almost always use the throat bite to the wind pipe technique to kill ungulates. Lions also use another unique strategy- the nose bite, to suffocate if the animal is big. Tigers sometimes use another strategy- the neck bite with the help of their longer canine, which crushes the spinal cord and kills the victim immediately. Jaguars often use another strategy- the skull bite, which penetrates the skull and reaches the brain of the victim. At prehistoric times, Sabretooths used their long serrated canines to slice through all the blood vessels in the neck of the large prey which made them die faster.

That teeth is meant for a vice-like grip. No matter what, it will never give up! We saw those teeth up close when the leopard growled at visitors in the Mumbai zoo. Thankfully the hands of our camerman was steady as the cloe-up was being shot!

From what I could tell the Leopard started early looking for the takedown and when the Boar successfully sprawled the attempt, the Leopard pulled guard looking for an Arm Triangle. The boar succeeded in getting to his feet but the excellent Jiu Jitsu of the Leopard prevented the Boar from gaining space. Paired with a good clench, the boar just couldn't get any offence going. The Leopard eventually took his back, secured the choke. The Boar tried to make it to the end of the round, but the Leopard was just too good. TKO end of round 1

The vehicle's sound was giving an unfair advantage to the leopard. That's tampering with nature. That said that warthog's hold to dear life was simply impressive.

I seriously doubt it’s a vegan who pays the money and goes through such a painful journey through the jungles to watch the predatory conflict of life and death in the wild. So, have more of a sophisticated mind that can understand that with each one of us lives a prey and a predator and that we all marvel at the possibility of the hunt and escape as well.

i know right? Considering that the actual rate the Leopard gets a kill is tremendously low, then even if it gets the kill it could lose it scavengers. People don't realize that this is what happens to us when we step into nature. We are food.We need to eat food to live as well. We have evolved and grown our civilizations so that the brutality of nature doesn't apply to us.We literally have evolved past nature as Richard Dawkins puts it. We dont become food sitting in our houses watching dancing with the stars. This is pure unadulterated nature. The realism of life. The Leopard kills not out of hatred for the Warthog but for a need to feed so it can reproduce. Its nice to take step out of the artificial reality us humans create for ourselves and see what the world is really like.Beautiful.
