    Does any one else think that these boys favor the S 21 males or is it just me? Just asking? I know they are not any kin but there seems to be resemblance?

    How do you differentiate between young subadult males without manes and lionesses? I don't see any difference

  • @buffiesilver
    @buffiesilver4 сағат бұрын

    It is a bit tricky but people go by whisker patterns, they are like our finger prints no two will be the same. You can also go by scars our limps or knots that may be different. Attitude of them, how many in the group, all of these are good but whisker patterns are the way to go.

    Magificent Pride. The males look like they are in their prime. Rob qucik question if you know. The lions of the Masai look much bigger then the ones in Uganda and the ones southern parts of Africa. Are they all the same Species. The ones in Uganda look really small in comparison is thre any truth to that? Plus the lions in Uganda live on trees, these lions probably never climbed a tree their whole life. Amaziing footage

  • @robtheranger
    @robtheranger8 сағат бұрын

    Not a lot of trees to climb here, but there are pictures of Mara lions in trees. For a better comparison the Amboseli, or Samburu lions would be similar in size to the Ugandan ones. All the same sub-species Panthera leo melanochaita. Just regional variations due to habitat, and human influence eg: many big lions were hunted in colonial times leaving smaller ones to breed, and limitation of movement due to fences, agriculture, and urbanisation.

    Je crois que les plus gros lions sont ceux d’Afrique Australe. Delta de l’okavango et cratère Ngorongo

  • @buffiesilver
    @buffiesilver4 сағат бұрын

    I agree, the crater boys and the Botswana are big huge boys. I heard it was because of the diet that they had, i always thought it was because they fight the lions in the water. @@NgannouSix9

    weill they have to hunt for food which requires lots of energy. They'll most likely wait until it gets dark to hunt, but water yes they do need.

    when male lions patrol, how many days are male lions away from the pride on their patrols ?

  • @robtheranger
    @robtheranger11 сағат бұрын

    There is no correct answer to that question. Every territory is different, every male is different, every coalition is different, every pride is different.

  • @robtheranger
    @robtheranger8 сағат бұрын

    @Hail-mary96 sometimes some males may be away from some prides for longer than that. But sometimes, some males may not be away from some prides for even close to that length of time. That's the point of my previous answer

    Rob mate. See the inopportune automatic positioning of the shop label ? I found it can be moved around in edit mode in your channel upload page. How cool is that. U just go to your uploady channel thing. Select the appropriate vid and hit edit tben u keep your finger on the label a sec or 2 then u can drag up the top or round the outside round the outside Ee ee aw

    @@robtheranger : go to ur channel page. Select manage videos. Find the short. Edit it. Dead easy. Shorts have s on em. Three wee dots might do something if you push them like reveal a list of options. The edit bit might even be right there. It'll say edit on the button. I couldnt believe. It was right in front of me. Go see Rob. Honest m8. I wouldnt lie to you m8. 😉

    @@robtheranger : aye the 3 wee button on the thumbnail when u enter the manage videos bit on the chan page. All your uploads will be there most recent to last. Theres tons of options btw. U can zoom in. Cut and chop edit using bar timer on screen that pops up. Its well smart lad get right in. Have fun mr director.

    @@robtheranger : yeah they tell u nowt. I just stumbled on it recently myself. I edited my own short just now. Moved labels here there wherever really. U have to edit i think. Dont think u can move them initially. It just goes whereever it goes by default. Usually right in the way. Manage videoes. Select video or short from the scroll of thumbnails ,( thats the wee pictures) At top right within the thumbnail theres 3 wee dots. List appears. Select edit. It will go in. Vid or short. If short. Press on the shop label a mo maintaining contact then swipe to wherever u want. Easy. I just did it on my short to check. It'll take a bit getting used to. Play about with it later.
