Leon Moves To Georgia
Ойын-сауық
This is a huge new video! Leon the Lobster moves from South Carolina to Georgia, and moves into a huge new aquarium. Come along for the ride. This is the longest video in the Leon series, but has so much interesting and enjoyable content! Special thanks to Established Titles for sponsoring this video and making Leon's huge new aquarium possible.

It amazes me that when Leon was first introduced, due to a lack of knowledge (like most) he seemed to me like a perfectly healthy lobster with bad claws due to them being strapped, but looking at him now, his colours, patterns and over all look show how wrong that was. I recently lost my twelve-year-old Siamese rescue, Simon. He managed to pick up quite a few nicknames of his own during the time I had him. I'm still missing him terribly but I did take in a new rescue, a little tuxedo kitten we ended up calling Dolly because she cried on the ride home until Dolly Parton came on the radio then she miraculously went quiet and calmed down. Already she's my "Dolly-Wolly" when she's being cute and getting cuddles. I'm so happy to see Leon still thriving and that he's now moving to a new tank and home. I was born and raised in North Carolina myself, I had an uncle who lived in George for many years too. I hope you all settle in nicely and I look forward to seeing more of Leon's adventures! Edit: Oh, I forgot but the tiny little soft-shell crabs you found in the oyster shells look like pea crabs to me. I discovered a few as a kid looking for shells on the beach and will never forget how they sent my brother screaming because I found "water spiders." I learned what they were back then but I haven't seen any up close since I was seven, so I could be wrong.
the fact that leon let you scrub his back and then let you put him in a bag with no struggle is truly amazing. he really trusts you.

I have really liked following Leon and his new life. I did come across this info and thought I would share. : Humans grow old - But not lobsters. In normal cases of cell division, the shields at the end of our chromosomes - called telomeres - are remade a bit smaller, and so a bit less effective after each subsequent cell division at protecting our DNA. When this reaches a certain point, the cell enters senescence and will stop dividing. It won’t self-destruct but will just carry on and wallow as it is. Lobsters, though, have a special enzyme (unsurprisingly, called telomerase) which makes sure that their cells’ telomeres remain as long and brilliant as they’ve always been. Their cells will never enter senescence, and so a lobster just won’t age. However, what evolution giveth with one hand, it taketh with another. As crustaceans, their skeleton is on the outside, and having a constantly growing body means they are always outgrowing their exoskeletal homes. They need to abandon their old shells and regrow a new one all the time. This, of course, requires huge reserves of energy, and as the lobster reaches a certain size, it simply cannot consume enough calories to build the shell equivalent of a mansion. Lobsters do not die from old age but exhaustion (as well as disease and New England fisherman). Keep Leon safe and happy..
When I read the header that he was moving, I thought you'd grown tired of him and given him to someone else! Major thrill to discover not only was I wrong, but that he's getting new and BIGGER digs! I hope he likes his new mansion, and again: THANK YOU for bringing us along on his journey! I am so invested now, lol

Thank you just loved this video very much. 🦂🐟🐠🐡🦐🦪😊🐈⬛
My heart sank when I read the title of your video! I thought you found him a sanctuary and we were never going to see him again. His new home is beautiful, and I love that there's other creatures in the tank with him. Thanks for posting the videos of Leon. It would be more than ok if you posted more of them though, I love seeing them.
Love this movie from Leon's humble beginnings to living lick a rock star!!!🦞🦞🦞
Let me just say, it broke my heart seeing how sad Leon was when you took away all his rocks and plants. He didn't understand what was happening and he probably thought he was gonna be abandoned again. But he perked right up when you put him in his new tank, and he was like "Woow this is so big!! Thanks Dude!". I bet it was so worth it seeing how happy he is! Keep doing what you're doing! 💜 P.S. I'm pretty sure one of the shrimps is carrying eggs, maybe we'll see some baby shrimp if they're able to hatch.

The headline for this had me worried as I thought you'd sold or rehomed Leon to someone else. Thankfully you and your family including the cats and anything else you have are going with him so all's good. The amount of money you've spent to give Leon his wonderful life is incredible so it's good that he is able to repay you simply by being healthy and, as far as anyone can tell, happy. Thanks for sharing Leon with us. 😁💖
i am in tears watching Leon in the corner as you move his tank over he is so expressive 🥺🥺🥺
Not only is this a very interesting topic, the production quality of your videos is top notch.
Wow, how impressive and handsome does Leon look when we got a great look at him out of water ? It’s little wonder he’s thriving so well under your care Brady-thank you once again for rescuing this magnificent creature. Leon’s new residence is truly palatial in both size and style-Leon is very much spoiled in every way possible for a captive lobster. Can’t wait for more updates on Leon, and the cats! I must confess to having a soft spot for our feline friends, having three Sphynx cats myself 😊
I never thought the day would come when I thought a lobster was beautiful... Leon is truly something else, and the way you take such good care of him is so touching ♥️♥️

Their exoskeleton has multiple layers of pigments so it can look very interesting. Even better is when theres lobsters that don't have some layers present, leaving behind a wide range of rare colour possibilities like blue.

On the first day of this new, yesterday, my son and I stumbled upon your video of rescuing a lobster from a grocery. We watched several videos. Your calm manner, thoughtful anecdotes, and attention to a lobster are what we didn't know we needed! Happy moving and glad to know Leon is thriving a year later!!💖💖💖 🦞
Looks like some of those ghost shrimp were carrying eggs! Epic video. Leon is the best!
It was nice getting to know you a bit better in this video, Brady! You're also just such a good cinematographer and story teller. Thanks for the update :)
So good to see Leon again! He looks so healthy and seems very happy with his new larger home. He made himself comfortable immediately! He was probably thinking “oh well, it was nice while it lasted”, but then he got the best instead of the worst!
Love Leon's new tank! He seems to love it, too. Good luck to the shrimp and crabs.
So many details on a lobster I never paused to notice before. They really are incredible and complex animals. His colors are amazing. So handsome. Here’s to another year Leon and Brady! 🥂

Be prepared to have a lot of birthday parties for Leon : Lobsters can live up to 40 years so depending of how old he was when he was caught, he'll be with you for A WHILE xD

Lobsters can live much longer under the right circumstances. They could be a pet that is passed down generations in a family.

Lobsters are one of the few species considered to be "biologically immortal" meaning they don't deteriorate and die from old ago, they actually become more fertile as they get older. Obviously they're still eaten by other animals, they can die from disease/parasites, or, as they get REALLY big, they can die from exhaustion during the molting process.

They can live 100 years if well cared for. He is precious, and your love for him -- and top shelf care -- are super inspirational... I also love lobsters and crayfish, and really admire you for taking such good care of him! God bless you both. Appreciate your kindness, brother. Aloha.
I used to live in Hall County and loved all the North Georgia film at the beginning!
So healthy, looks better than the day you saved him. Gorgeous claws 😍
LOVE Leon, thank you Brady for your fantastic work making him an ambassador for his kind. XXX Much love from the UK.
Leon has become like my own pet. I just enjoy checking your videos and seeing that he is still doing great. A little gem on the KZread universe and it’s such a wholesome feeling to see him again! Keep up the great “lobster parenting” skills sir!

If anyone watching wants a pet like leon, I recommend a crayfish. They can live in a more managable sized freshwater tank and still have leons interesting behaviours. I caught one out of a local marsh that was an inch or so, kept it for a year, until she grew into her gorgeous adult colours- blue shell and green claws. I let her go back into the same marsh, hopefully she found a boyfriend and didnt become a herons snack.

great to catch up with Leon again. great new home there for him. he's come a long way in a year.
Happy anniversary Leon. I saw you the first day you came home from the fish market. I haven’t seen you in a while but at least your still thriving Leon! Enjoy your new home!
I am watching Leons story since the first video you posted about him and I am really amazed on how much effort you put in this whole project. As a child I always wanted to save a lobster and it gives me a deep chill to see how well cared Leon is with you 🥰 Happy 1st Anniversary to you - I am sure Leon celebrates it too in his new home
I'd always wondered how people safely transported live sea creatures over long distances- we know lobsters are okay with being out of water a little while but obviously koi would need to be submerged- the tote/inflated oxygen bag thing makes complete sense and you even explained how to position him in the car! Lord Leon is quite fortunate to have such care and attention given to him. His new friends/servants/ possible late-night snacks are a nice addition too!
What a beautiful new tank!!! When I reincarnate I want to come back as your pet lobster. ❤
Tip of the hat to the YT community that helps take care of and pay for a man’s lobster! Your attention and care is really admirable. Well done sir.
A whole year! I am so touched by this video. Thank you, Brady. All because one man bought a lobster from a supermarket. Leon is a new superstar 😃 And Brady, thanks to you, a lot of people have awareness of life and it’s awesome beauty. Congrats on Leon’s one year anniversary.
