I was on LEON super early. Dude was singing regular R&B like this in clubs in Texas and couldn't get any traction. He was introduced to The Temptations and Sam Cooke by a friend/respected musician & after a change in approach he met his 1st albums producer/group. Shortly thereafter he took off like a rocket. In all his early live performances he didn't know exactly what he was doing hence the mic left in the stand to hide his awkwardness. He has come a looooong way. Happy to see he kept his old school vibe/style and is still making great music.

I just learned of Leon myself about 3 days ago. I enjoy listening to his music as well. It's very soft and soothing. Leon's music seems to take me places mentally. He's very talented and I wish him nothing but the best in his musical endeavors.

It gave Me motivation, to seek out and Finish the screenplay, I've started and have on the backburner. Give My appreciation to The Band, and Hope to See You All in Phoenix,September 04. If You have any Backstage passes, I am planning on taking My other Brother, as well. The individual 8 Years my senior, who introduced Me to the Finest music, that I pretty much have in My archives. The tone he's getting on that P90 LP around the 2:16 mark is just dirty.

Just recently discovered Leon Bridges and his band...can say unequivocally that this is hands down the very best music I've heard in a very long time. The simplicity of it, i.e. a singer with a pure clean outstanding voice, nice backup vocals and a band that can kick butt on instruments, it's just so good to see this type of music style coming back to The forefront again. My hat is off to you guys, keep doing what you're doing!
