Joan Riba there isn't against the rules to participate twice. Jedward represented Ireland two years in a row (2011 and 2012), Rybaak won in 2009 and represented Norway in 2018, Johnny Logan won two times in 1980 and 1987 (and a third time only as a composer in 1992) and there are many participants like Poli Genova or Sunstroke Project that entered the contest for a second time or a third and then there's the legendary Valentina Monetta that represend San Marino in 4 ocasions: 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2017

This is probably one of the best songs on ESC from the past 10 years. The song, the stage, choreography and presence was simple but hugely mesmerising., modern and dark. This blew Satellite out of the water for me.

Compared to "Satellite", this is much more professional and mature, I think, from every point of view, but it's not as catchy and upbeat, so it didn't get as far ...

This was such a striking performance... I honestly believe she would've won if she hadn't already the previous year - being placed tenth is impressive already because people aren't likely to vote for the same winning artist and country twice in a row. This song takes some getting used to but it's one of those things you have to listen to again and again, after a while you just start to really feel the genius of it. Pure awesome, this.

The first time I heard this song was it randomly coming on shuffle when studying earlier this year. When I found out it was a decade old I was really surprised. It still sounds extremely modern and after getting into ESC, that can not be said by a lot of the other 2011 entries

if she had not participated the previous year, she would have won, to this day I still love it!

One of the greatest Eurovision performances of all time. Lena really deserved her second win in a row!

In love with the creepiness of this song. The stage and the choreography fit in perfectly. One of my favourite ESC entries ever. Much more creative and sophisticated than the winner song by Lena. I guess it's the matter of taste.

This was probably the only "risky" Eurovision entry from Germany. Nowadays they just send generic crap.

It's amazing to see how Lena grew as a performer in the space of one year. From one rather awkward albeit sweet girl to this confident performer who keeps you spellbound with what seems like no effort. This song is so chill and cool. One of the night's best performances, and a well-deserved 10th placer for Germany.

At first glance, the performance may seem to be a bit ... "strange" (:P), but if you look at it again exactly, that's just pure genius! The song stands out clearly from the ESC mainstream and the mixture of the cool sound, lighting effects and Lena's great charisma is just awesome!

i think that song needed a high point. She would have won with a nice bridge followed by her screaming around. Plus a nice lightshow. people are blind for aesthetics - they just care about an emotional climax because thats what stays in mind. sad sad

I'm from Germany and I love Lena, I really do 💖. For me this song was more interesting than "Satellite". It definitely showed a new facet of her. While it was a good performance, I can tell you she was pretty burned out at that point. She could be happy with 10th place. In general, I'm proud of her for not resting on the ESC. She supposedly had her career peak the year before, but she has evolved and changed over the years and is still playing sold out venues and has had three big hits in the past few years alone. I think it's not the easiest thing to stay relevant in pop music. You can like her or not, but you have to give some credit for that 😉.

+Furkan Bozdag Azerbaycan kardeş ülke evet ama bu bir müzik yarışması.. bu kız bu şarkıyla 2011 de kazanması gerekiyordu ya da Slovenya nın kazanması gerekiyordu.. Objektif olmak lazım, bence Azerbaycanın şarkısı ilk beşe yine girerdi.. çok iyiydi ama ilk 3 olmamalıydı..

Germany really lived up to the Big5 epithet between 2010-2012 (then they really got lost sadly...). This one should have brought Germany and Lena a back-to-back win!!

lena didn't convince me in 2010... but i totally fell in love with her after this performance in 2011 =)

That one was from 2011. MaNga competed in 2010. Lena became 10th in 2011. Anyways both Turkey and Germany were overrated back in 2010. All Turks insists on MaNga but I strongly oppose that. Azerbaijan, Romania, Denmark, Armenia, Greece and even Belgium was way better than both Turkey and Germany. Especially Azerbaijan, Romania and Denmark were so amazing that one of them should have won

This is waaaaaay better than the studio version. To me, the real winner of 2011. Azerbaijan was overrated.

@@hello.189 Ireland won 1992,1993,1994,1996, which is of course amazing, but it was all juries, different performers. This can not happen in this day in age, especially not in 2011 which had the most f*cked up voting ever

hands down this was the best song and perfomance of Eurovision.

Its 2024 and turkish people are still angry because of Lena winning in 2010 instead of Manga 🤡
