LEMON POSSET & STRAWBERRY JAM RECIPE - SORTED
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This is probably the easiest dessert you'll ever see us make! You can do it way ahead of time so it's perfect for when you've got friends over. It's so easy that you'll have plenty of time to make some homemade strawberry jam to have with it :)

3 years on, I'm still a bit dumbfounded as to how Ben poured all the jam into the jar without any spillage
Ben just pulled a sprig of mint out of a random kitchen drawer. I wonder where else he keeps sprigs of mint around?

A few people have asked about using orange instead ... and that should work!

MY LEMON POSSET! What an epic thing to yell on a train. I will be making this.
I love how Ben just magically makes mint leaves appear out of random drawers!
Good point! Only in our first cookbook and another version in the new cookbook launching next week.
Yep!
Of course!
a year ago we learnt that a posset is like a sillybub, which is like a frange-in-a-pan. neat.
This is still my favourite Sorted video. There are so many funny little moments, I still can't get over Ben's magical jam pouring skills (how did that strawberry not fall out?), and I've even made it once and want to make it again!
I seriously love Sorted. c: Whenever I'm down I watch these guys and they just make me smile. Sorted is the FeelGood Channel!
I'm not sure if it's Ben's sprigs of mint, Barry's lemon posset anecdote, or Jamie's hypnotising shirt, but this video sure had everything!
I swear, you guys can make any simple thing look good. Heck, you can
I ♥ u guys!!! I have learned so much by watching ur videos and this is one of my favorite desserts!!!
Oh my! Tried this out yesterday, and it's amazing!! So good with the balance between the slightly sour posset and the super sweet jam, loved it!
just about to make this jam with my gran and dad, he spent ages looking for a jam making video and i went straight to sorted... thanks guys this really helped me out!
I made a lemon and a lime posset with blueberry and raspberry jams and brought them into the office. They were a big hit! So simple and delicious.
I love how you guys show how you eat your recipes. In the cookingshows on tv, they don't show it and they don't even lick their fingers off when they have something sweet on their fingers, while Barry and Jamie are licking the whole bowl off. It just shows that I'm not weird hahaha
I love how you guys make desserts and other things without egg and gelatine it really has for people like me who have a sweet tooth but can't have those things! Love you guys!
Wow super simple dessert but looks so amazing. You guys are the best!
Oh my god. Jamie's sexy wink at the end. *dies*
Before squeezing the lemon in, you should try rolling it a few times with the palm of your hand on the counter (pushes the fluids towards the centre), and you get more lemon juice. :)
Between 4:46 and 4:48, it seems that a sprig of mint magically appeared on the smaller glass, and Ben also somehow switched the glasses between hands in just a few milliseconds! ; )
We have! Check out the recipe on our website!
Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional! You fellows prove this with every video. Keep up the good work.
i love these guys so much omg
We haven't tried it but it should do!
I never get bored of Sorteds videos :D
Ben studied a degree in Culinary Arts Management (4 years) at UCB. Plus trained in pubs, restaurants and hotels before and during his time with Sorted
I have such a soft spot for creme brûlée. It's just my favorite I'm just in love with it
Best cooks / chefs on KZread
Biscotti is great to accompany a chocolate mouse, creme brulée or lemon posset... a mixture of creamy and sweet then crunch!
I should think so!
Hahaha. I started laughing when Barry talked about leaving his lemon posset at the train station and then again when Ben pulled mint leaves out of a drawer!!!! I love you guys do much.
Yep orange would work just as well!
this looks absolutely delicious!! my favourite dessert is creme bulee
We have recipes for both on our site! Have a go!
I'm so impressed by Ben's pouring skills !
Think this is my favorite sortedfood video
You guys make my day!
Definitely have to try this!! I'm actually about to make biscotti for my mom sorted food style!
my favorite dessert is aniseed and vanilla ice cream and brandy snap baskets, used to make them in work and they are to die for!
Oh, it's a miracle! Very nice texture at the end)
Just watching this makes me hungry. It looks soooo good!!!
I have soooo many favourite desserts, it's more about what I feel like at that moment. Chocolate cake, creme brulee, tiramisu, panacotta, cheesecake, mince pies, Christmas pudding, strawberries and cream, crepes, waffles...
I tripled this recipe, and made it for a charity bake sale at work. The only thing different I did, was sift out the lemon zest before I put it into the cups, so it would be creamer. It went over really well and everyone loved them, sold all of them!
Whoa I just made strawberry jam the other day and didn't have a recipe for it but I guessed and did pretty much the same thing Ben did. Looks like I'll have to make more and try it with the lemon posset. Looks delicious!
ughhh everything looks soooo good
This looks delicious! And I love rum cake for dessert!
My favourite dessert is anything with lemon in it! Lemon tart is very high on the list but now I must try making lemon posset!
that actually looks so nice omgggg
My favourite dessert is this amazing chocolate mousse that I had in a restaurant- it was on a shortbread base and covered in molten marshmellow that had been blown-torched so it was crisp on the outside and gooey on the inside *mind blown*
That sounds delicious!
Absolutely going to make this!
My favourite dessert is Ben! You work that spoon, boo :)
Always wanted to make jam, but thought the process was more compilicated, ben's method look so bloody easy....gonna add the ingredients to my next shopping list
my favourite dessert is halo-halo! Best during summer season especially with ice cream on top and lots of milk.
Always making the good stuff! Keep it up ya guys :)
We've done Vietnamese Beef Pho and there is a lovely spicy Papaya Salad as part of our Coconut Crusted Chicken recipe! :-)
My new favorite sorted video 😂😂
Practice makes perfect!
Very apt!
My grandma used to make this amazing rice pudding which I love.. Back in India it is called chawal ki kheer.. Also we have this amazing sweet that is made during Diwali (Indian festival) called gujiya.. It is a flour casing filled with sweet coconut and sesame seeds, cardamom filling (in my family) and deep fried..
"my lemon posset!"
just did, it looks delicious!
I love the way Ben pulls out the tiny mint leaf from a massive draw.. :) x
oh..barry, i was one who ate your lemon posset. It tasted amazing!
Have our tried our Sorted style Creme Brulee? Orange and Cardamom flavoured! You can find it on our site :-)
I saw you guys on the Today Show this morning and freaked out!! So awesome!
Two of my favorite desserts are, rice pudding (arroz con leche) y Tres leches. Both desserts from Central America. Cheers from Costa Rica!
I just finished making this so it's in the fridge... Really can't wait to try the final result! :D
We've done a Sorted version! Check it out by searching on our site!
I made this, here are my thoughts on the recipe: Overall, very easy and delicious! It tastes like it would be perfect in a hot summer day(the fact that it doesn't use and oven is a bonus) Here are some warnings: The zest: if you like little bit of stuff floating in your food that you have to spit out for hours later, then go ahead and use the zest. But if you're like me, and you don't like the texture of dirt added to your pudding...perhaps skip it. This dessert is VERY tart, which I like, but others may wish to be more conscientious with their lemon juice. Mine didn't set properly, most likely from messing up the heating if the cream and sugar. However, it wasn't a big deal, since it was delicious anyway. Would definitely make again. I am planning to, once the weather is warmer.
Omg 😲 that thing looks sooooooo good 😊
My favorite dessert is trifle! Mmm... Im lovin it!
Oh goodness I'm drooling... I gotta get some lemons, STAT!
Some say Barry's lemon posset is still at that train station to this very day

Hey, I've spent a lot of time with Vietnamese friends during my time at University and personally think Vietnamese food is amongst the best I've ever tried. Could you have a try at Pho with a papaya salad, you will love it!
I live in Seattle, WA for most of the year and having Pikes Place Market so close makes it so easy to make awesome fresh meals. Could you guys do a farmers market video? Maybe with the addition of a crab cake recipe too?
We have! Do a search for 'tiramisu' on our website!
We've done versions of both! Check them out!
4:43 now I understand! Ben just has a drawer full of sprigs of mint ready for any occasion!
i made it for a party dessert and my friends really liked it
ill never grow up as long as you guys are alive!
Just had to pause the video to let out the laughter at Barry for a while. Didn't want to miss anything :P
@SortedFood yes, I did see it. I really want to make it at somepoint.
Happy Birthday!
my favorite dessert is either Tiramisu or Creme Brulee. I can't decide, they're both just so magical!
Brilliant!
