Lemon Peel Crochet Stitch 🍋 So much texture! ✨

Hi Everyone! 💖
Lemon Peel Crochet Stitch is so pretty and the texture is just wonderful. I think this will make a beautiful shawl, baby blanket, pot holder or whatever your heart desires to make. It's really easy once you get the hang of it.
It can be started by any amount of chains and you don't have to figure out any odd or even numbers, just go for it! That's one reason I like it so much. Also, it's reversible! Yay!
Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my KZread channel! I appreciate it so much 😘

    Good morning! You do the HDC after the chain When you finish do you do a HDC as the last row? I wanted to start doing this every time I make a blanket because I like the finished edge and I’m trying to get where I keep my sides straighter every now and then they go kind of wonky Thank you! I’m getting closer to starting the new blanket in the ‘Lemon Peel’. Lol I had just placed a Joanns order now I know to try their other yarn..... Big Twist!

  • @SparklyOne

    @SparklyOne

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hi Brenda! You can start with a double crochet or a hdc, and you can end with either one as well. Just start with the opposite stitch. Hope that makes sense? Just try a little swatch as practice so you can see how it works before starting a bigger project. Let me know how it goes 🥰💝🙌🏻

  • @laurelgirard8475

    I have been doing a similar stitch for years... it goes chain x # of stitches, turn, do a sc into 4th chain, do a dc into the same ch, skip a chain, sc and dc into the next stitch, skip a stitch, repeat. Do you know the name? Anyone?? Thanks!! So sorry about the loss of your beloved Mom. I lost mine 20 years ago and I can still hear her laugh, or her calling my name. It gets easier as the memories are enjoyable (not so painful). Your Mom would love this cute pattern that can be used for so many projects!!

  • @nanajude3444

    Usually with a double, probably because most of the patterns I use are primarily double crochet. I do like the hdc a lot, I think I’ll start using it more, maybe changing up the patterns I use. I pretty much make a beanie every day for charity but have just started making scarves and loving them. I finally have gotten better at keeping my edges straight, so proud, pats self on back, haha. I’ve made over 400 beanies so I can do them in my sleep. Thanks for responding.

    Hi Judith, wow! You are a crocheting machine! How wonderful that you have made so many beanies for a great cause! Good job! I do start many projects with a double crochet too...but, it really depends on the overall stitch height as to which one I pick. Do you also knit? I've been knitting for about 9 months. It's really fun! Merry Christmas!
