🧶 Yarn & Hook information:
Yarn used: Ice Mona Lisa 100% Cotton available to purchase here: www.iceyarns.co...
4mm Crochet Hook
The Mona Lisa cotton is beautifully soft and heavy - very happy with how this yarn worked up! Available in a pack of 8 balls, ONE ball made the washcloth I show in the introduction - for the washcloth I chained 37 to start and continued until it was roughly square.

🔥 Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on KZread yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthev... and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyro... The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyro...

I'm currently working on a scarf with this stitch. It's going to become a pocket scarf once it's done. It's a fun stitch and works up fairly fast. Great texture that photography doesn't do it justice. Everyone should try it if they haven't already, just to see it in person.

What a surprise for me! I did a number of afghans w/this pattern years ago when I was just beginning my crocheting. I’d bought a bag at a yard sale w/books, scraps of notes for crocheting for $.50. This pattern was on a scrap of paper. I tried it, loved it and called it my “Up and Down” pattern. Hi Jane, I would suggest making a small sample first and seeing.😀 It depends on the yarn you are using, your tension etc, so I couldn't say for certain.x

I ended on a double crochet on each row, but it was more by luck than judgement 😂

know you don't make Minecraft plushies but it would mean the world to me if you do a tutorial for a Minecraft Moobloom Plushie. Ive been trying to find a plushie to buy for my daughter but they are all sold out and that's all she wants for Christmas, so I figured I can crochet one for her. But I don't really know how. So if you can please please please can you make a Moobloom Plushie tutorial. Thank you!!!! :)))

I love this stitch, but it doesn't love me! I have started a blanket 3 times! I count and count and count, but by the 3rd row - EVERY TIME!!!! - I am no longer ending on a double crochet as I should be. I'm not an experienced crocheter, but I'm not a newbie either! This is so frustrating. Now it's to the point where I refuse to let this blanket beat me!

Some even have the gut to claim it and sell the technique on etsy and title it as new stitch pattern. It's no uncommon these days, many of these crochet influencers copy the pattern from others and make it look like they create themselves.

Why does it called “lemon peel”?

  • @kimwilliamson7163

I think it's because of the slight "bumpy" texture; like what you see on some lemons, oranges, etc.
