Nice to see how hungry and up for it Brown was. Tail end of his career you can see how much it means for him to get some games in and he played well. Great shout by Tigers to bring him in for cover.

Happy for Brown, the mans game has never really been built on speed so his positioning, physical strength and mind for the game allow him to play to a high level at nearly 40. He could be a really good influence on Steward who isn't the fastest and who tends to miss a lot of tackles as the last man back .

So happy for mike brown brought me so many happy memories throughout the years as a quins fan. Mr reliable he gave 110% every single time he played with passion and determination like no other! Great signing and will be able to teach Freddie a few things especially defensively.

Wow at the old boys: Brown, Ashton, Gopperth, they all showed up. A lot of experience in that backline. Also, what a game by Pollard. Two game-saving tackles in the span of three seconds. And Wiese is an absolute beast.

Great work on the defense, would be overjoyed to see more of that this season

For some strange reason its what we churn out in SA… we could literally go down the line to our 6th or 7th loose trio combo and they would not look out of place in the boks. Flyhalfs on the other hand…thats thin pickings after the top two.

@@jksinorbit Can't agree with you more, right on the button when it comes to loose forwards, i look at Dayimani and think he is good enough to make the Scottish, Welsh and Italian sides just on ability alone but in South Africa he is down the pecking order, he hasn't yet been to an alignment camp, Engelbrecht, the stormers no.7 is just as good a blind side flank as any in the world, cyle brink, the list goes on.when it comes to flyhalf, i think it's time they move past Elton jantjies, give Mannie libbok a fair crack at the highest level, Jordan Hendrickse from the lions is really good but plays for a weak side which has no balance and just above okay coaches, i really don't rate ivan van rooyen as a coach, he was given the job on potential but ability wise he hasn't done anything to write home about. Jonathan Mukoena is actually a better coach, im surprised that no one is looking at him.

His hate for Saracens propels him 😌

Brown's try summed up for me why it's not all about the youngsters; Ashton, Gopperth involved and having great games themselves. Good on them.
