    try this again but instead use 2 vacuums on it. one for cylinder 1,2,3 and the other for 4,5,6 as you might be running intoair flow rate issue due to the single vancuum this should improve engine speed and power slightly. down side is you need to make another throttle body for 2nd vacuum

    You’re definitely on to something. I think the 6 has a lot more potential, it’s just very impractical to unlock it. I don’t have a second vacuum but I might try to get a compressor into the intake

    Both look fantastic and I have to admire what your doing But it would be interesting to see what would happen if a 2 cylinder had 1/3 of the suction power from the vacuum and the inline 4 had 2/3 with the inline 6 have 3/3 of the suction power. I wonder which would lift the bottle quickest then as this would balance the air flow side to give a more realistic example as ordinary, the six would require more suction to match the output Keep up the good work tho, your engines are awesome! 👏👏👏

    i way to make it wayyy faster is to add some luberication, like olive oil to the pistons, and valves. that's what i did, and it made the rpm go from 2200, to 4600! But, dang, this is impressive, i barly have the parts to make a 1 piston engine, and l would not have the patients to build for that long, awesome!

    The inline 6 dosent have as much suction per cylinder as the inline 4 does which then during the winch test the inline 4 could rev higher and hold its revs.

  • @dillpickle7633

    Try using tape to cover the gaps (especially on the exhaust manifold) Though it doesn't look as clean, it will increase the torque and RPM as less suction is lost. You could try to put the tape on the inside if aesthetics are a primary concern. Either way that engine is sick as hell!

    You should try a simpler 2 «cylinder ». That’s generally how I build my engines and I managed to make one that was very fast and torquey, but still pretty smooth and responsive. I used 4x4 pistons (KFPlus « performance piston » design), individual throttle bodies for each «cylinder », a thin 43mm diameter Technic wheel as a flywheel, gears for syncing the valve shaft with the crankshaft like you did, and a slightly different valve design where I used 2x1 Technic bricks put in the « center » of the hole, instead of 2 1x1 on the sides, which can easily be misaligned causing extra friction. I also had a smaller stroke for the valve shaft, using some conventional Technic crank parts used in fake engines. Otherwise, great designs!

    I’m going to assume you glued your valves? I’d imagine with one stud connections like that they would explode at high rpm’s otherwise. I toyed with the idea of trying to make sideways valves to prevent having to glue them but they didn’t quite fit.

  • @jmodsbricks

    @jmodsbricks

    The valves in the I-4 are glued but the 6 doesn’t use any glue:) I know what you mean by building them sideways tho, that’s definitely worth some more explanation!

    @@jmodsbricks Made a temporary short so you can see (forgive me if this doesn’t work, I’ve never made one before). kzread.infot_G_6MJEgls?si=GuZfkD4lUjmMNRzE I’ve only made the single piston engines for lack of parts, so the pivot point of the valve was in line with the crankshaft. This probably wouldn’t work well with inlines. Also I’m amazed your valves don’t enter low earth orbit whenever you throttle that thing if they’re not glued lol. Probably brand new parts. Also also, I’m equally impressed by the fact that your crankshaft is made up of those loose technic pins. Whenever I tried to use those they would mess up the timing with all the slack they have, especially with that many pistons in a row.

  • @Aston3003
    @Aston3003Ай бұрын

    i think its not as strong since the inline 4 has less pistons than the inline 6. Lets say you are sucking at 40psi, on a inline 4 you will ideally get 10psi on each piston but on a inline 6 you get 6.667psi on each piston which will result in less power. What if you suck harder and theres also the problem of giving each piston balance sucking like a intake/sucking manifold
