    IV just completed the bow section, looks amazing. When you put the spot lights on for the funnel they make you sacrifice a lifeboat Davit which isn’t necessary. Move the light from a different spot closer to the funnel and angle up. Exact same effect and no need to sacrifice pieces off the model

    Super video - were you powering the Titanic's lights by battery or electricity (as Light My Bricks suggests in the instructions)? I was thinking of opting for LMB's lights but also looking at the GOB's option in order to light the lower levels. LMB's seems a better kit, but it would be great to light the lower levels to add authentic detail (some of GOB's other details are not authentic). It's my first build with lights, so am completely new to this - any tips appreciated.

  • @LitBricks

    @LitBricks

    Thank you! I have it powered by electricity. It is a great kit but you’re right about the lower levels. I do kinda wish they had them lit. It’s great quality though. I’d say my best tip is to make sure you don’t pinch the wires if you don’t have too. You’ll come to understand when get started. Making sure wires are in between the studs is key as well. Patients will always help. 😃

    @@LitBricks Did you ever add the lights for the black portholes? I was wondering if the Light my Bricks kit had any blank ports on the expansion boards to somehow add in a micro expansion board and use the micro bit lights to add some porthole lights. I love the fact that you can take this one apart while it's lit, and you can't with the other company, I just can't bring myself to buy both kits just to cobble together black portholes on the light my brick kit.

  • @LitBricks

    @LitBricks

    The directions are always made for after the build. I’d say it’s easier that way anyway. After it’s built you can see better how and where to hide wires and put lights.

    Oh man! Can’t wait for my turn to get this ship. The lighting kit is AWESOME! So, since it comes apart in 3 sections, I would assume each can be lit individually? How many batteries for each part, and last, dare I ask how much for the lighting kit??

  • @LitBricks

    @LitBricks

    2 жыл бұрын

    That is correct! Each section is lit individually. These are run using a USB cable to a wall plug. I’m pretty sure there’s a battery box in the kit that uses like 3 AA’s. The kit itself was $219.
