Ninjago Water dragon. Its Way bigger, than the box show. fantastic minifigs. I think it just came at the wrong time, and got Overshadowed by the firedragon attack

Growing up, we had the LEGO Captain Redbeard's Pirate Ship (7075), which was a giant boat that actually floated. The masts were a plastic fabric too, so they responded to blowing air.

I bought this for cheap as used 10 years after its release for my then 3-year old nephew. he still needed a lot of help with building it, but overall it was a pretty damn good gift for a kid interested in pirates in the transition period from Duplo. he later got most of my proper pirate stuff from me over the years. it makes me happy seeing him building and playing with it. for most parts of this 4+ lego sets he seem to still have good use for it, only the huge Jack-Stone-style-figures are neglected.

I had that set too (plus a bunch of other Pirate/Navy sets). Really liked them, wish I still had them.

Some of the original stuff from the 90s, so underrated. Back when little secret switches and secret palaces were hidden into Lego sets. So cool

I think microfighters are quite underrated you get cool minifigures for a cheap price and a decent build not all are good but worth it for the minifigures

I honestly think mixels is an underrated theme! I really like how wacky and goofy most of the characters look! And not only the sets are (or were) relatively cheap, but they also introduced the small ball joint pieces!

Mixels was such a silly and quirky theme to look back on, and personally I always enjoyed the idea of being able to combine 2 or more characters or Lego sets into something new. I will also always remember the use of the term "murp" for a failed or faulty combination, that was pretty funny

If nothing else, they created an awesome ball joint system, and they're still referred to as "mixels ball joints"

I know! These were literally my childhood Edit: I also love the feature of mixing each set of 3 to make a giant mixed, it was awesome!

some people think chima was a hated theme, but i really like it. i don't have a lot of the sets, but the armour and weapons were just too cool. ninjago and chima easily make the coolest minifigs and accessories.

One of the most underrated themes, in my opinion, is the Galaxy Squad theme. Cool builds, awesome minifigs, and generally fairly good ppp. I especially liked the Swarm Interceptor 70701, enough that I went a bit overboard and now have three. Another set that I think is underrated is the 21109 Ideas Exo-Suit. I love the build, and it's always neat to see old space-man-style figs in new sets. Also, I like that it was a cheaper, more affordable set from the ideas line. I think Lego could use more sets like it!

I remember that I really liked power miners sets that time. Great nostalgia.

The lantern festival is a brilliant set and such amazing value

I think the Friends line is pretty underrated, though it is slowly getting the recognition it deserves. Most of its builds are far better compared to those found in Lego City and are relatively cheaper too. The other Minidoll theme, Elves, also was just too much underrated in my opinion.

I'm gonna call one of the most underrated sets of the year for Lego Star Wars is the Mando's N-1 Starfighter. Got released about 2 weeks before LegoCon this year and all its thunder was stolen by the At-Te and the rest of the summer wave being revealed.

I tend to only find out about cool sets after they've been discontinued. If there weren't so many sets releasing all the time, I would want someone to sit me down at each release and say, "No, seriously, have you actually paid attention to this set? Just look at it!" Only then woulh I be fully able to appreciate how cool it is.

I absolutely loved Hero Factory as a kid, at least until the Invasion From Below wave

Number 5 of if you do another lego errors i'v got one. on Lloyd's golden ultra Dragon two of the vengestone warriors have armor pieces but in most of the promotional images it does not and in the real set it does not

I think 76188 Tv series Batmobile is such a underrated set. It’s such a amazingly scaled down version which still looks accurate!

An underrated set would definitely be set 70008 Gorzan's Gorilla, another Chima set but a great one at that!

Yup! The designers actually observed real gorillas to learn their movement so that they could make the build. Cbima has more attention to detail than most lego themes.

The entire monster fighter theme and Scooby doo line feel really underrated

It's pretty new, but the amusement space ride truck. It's like an affordable, modern fairground mixer. I absolutely love rides that collapse into trucks. I have it next to my mixer set

The lego mars mission crystal reaper, you could motorize it with power functions and it runs so smoothly with the treads!

I actually really liked the power miners series as a kid. Also loved the Set that is featured in this Series. :D

This kinda makes me wonder about a related topic, "Guilty pleasure" sets and themes. Ones that weren't exactly popular or beloved by masses, but have fans for one reason or another. Mine would be Galidor, but mostly because it was a nostalgic saturday morning show and the website was cool to me. I know if I were to go back and rewatch it I would cringe probably, but something about the memories, y'know?

Just saying but the Lego ideas treehouse is soooo underrated It’s such a cute little set with cool details and goes shockingly well with the Endor village (another pretty underrated set) And the fall colors are so pretty

Speaking personally, it's a great set that has a ton of little details that make it really fun to look at. I also appreciate that you can choose to display it with either green leaves for spring/summer or fall colored ones, which is a nice detail that adds a lot to the set

The lego star wars first order stoormtrooper transport is really underrated

You are one of the only youtubers of lego that don't complain about sets and aren't obssesed with lego star wars.

The Lego set speed champions F 40 Camaro and just most of the speed champion sets are just for garden underrated they’re super cool

The Lego Creator Super Robot (31124) is such an underrated set! It has such a solid build and is a good figure overall.

A theme rather than a set, but I always thought that the Throwbots series (out of the Technic line) was incredibly underrated. Two waves of 4 characters each, the Throwbots had flexible arms that threw plastic discs (which had art that hinted at a wider story that never got explored). In addition, each wave could be combined into a giant robot. I suspect that they eventually led to the creation of the wildly popular Bionicle line (as both were assemblable action figures, something that didn't really exist before the Throwbots), so it's a bummer that they didn't get the same love that Bionicle ended up receiving.

I disgaree about the Yellow submarine I think there is lots of detail and love the control panels etc on the inside . The overall design really works. The cartoon sub as drawn in the film does not have a lot of detail anyway. Everyone who sees this set I have on display loves it. Enjoyed your video.

Hidden side sets were underrated as a theme. Over 20 sets, Agumented Reality game, Short Animated series plus the death of a character. Gone way before its time.

First off amazing video second Double Catapault versus offer dragon, a set released in 2006 for 40$ and adjusting for inflation 58$ is my favourite Lego off all time and features a 55-58cm or around 2 foot is so impressive and then that is still just one of the two builds, with the other being a giant double catapult which flings rocks with a lot of power And thirdly the most underrated isn't mixels, they are amazing no doubt but beloved by the people who owned theme but the one that is, is elves, with its animals and dragons almost every single animal Lego release nobody even considers it at all

i love the air race jet set because it had really cool features such at retracting landing gear and a vtol mode! even lego hates it they dont make it anymore :(

I disagree with the brick bank being the most underrated modular. That set is still super popular and desirable. Personally the fire brigade is way more underrated. I never hear anyone talk about it even though it’s the first fully furnished modular, and is gorgeous from the outside

If you ever make a video like this again, consider the Gyrosphere Valley set.

Honestly, the Electro versus Spider-trike set is super underraited. It has a verry cool Electro minifig and bike! Not a very popular opinion, but it's mine 🙂

Legends of chima was my life

I wish they leaned more into the Fire Stone Mech being just a Cole mech and not a Cole and Kai mech, since in the show Kai has nothing o do with this set and it only catches "fire" when Cole drives it through lava escaping a literal lava monster. Hopefully after this video these sets will get some love.

Welcome to Apocalypseburg is a brilliant set. Totally underrated.

Lego Racers Supersonic RC. It still is the fastest Technic Radio Controlled Set with 2 Buggy Motor (wich pack serious power). Thats not all: the main chassis is build in Pearl Dark Grey Technic panels wich still are exklusive in this rare Color. It even had its own game. It’s soo good and underrated.

I loved Mixles when I was younger

I think that the set ‘mandalorian forge’ is underrated, it may not look the best, but it gives you some good pieces, amazing figures and it’s quite cheap!

I must acquire the Yellow Submarine set to see if lego John Lennon fares better against a .38 special than the real one did.

My favorite MIXEL character has got to be burnard, and a underrated set in my opinion is Paranormal Intercept Bus 3000 70423 | Hidden Side, the play features where great, the parts where nice it came with a lot of minifigures and it came with a playable app. Honestly IN MY OPINION Vidiyo and Hidden side are undderated.

I feel like the diesel naut from ninjago season 9 never got enough credit. I would argue that it is a top 15 ninjago set

4:45 70840 was like 340€, I wanted to buy it in 2019 but fug, extra 340€ can’t just drop in your pocket from nowhere.

i say the whole lego lord of the rings line is underrated, alot of those sets where great and i hate how i misst out of most of them like helms deep and weathertop sets i did managed to snag the wizzard battle but then i was supriced with the Tower of Orthanc by my parents and i was over joyed when i got it

I don't have any favourite lego set but I have made a couple desk fans.

My Pick would be the current lego City Farm. The building itself is ideal for Kids between 3-5 to learn building + 7!! animals ( pig, 2 pigletts, cow, baby cow, sheeo, baby sheep + sqirrel

Knights Kingdom II is not only underrated but for some reason super hated in by the castle community. I love so many of the builds and character designs of the theme. If it had lived on longer like Ninjago I could only imagine the kids of sets we’d have gotten in later waves.

It bothers me that they did do a proper combining mixel (like Ninja Ultra Combo Mech)

The alligator motorbike is actually a crocodile

The Lego spider bytez unleashed set was underrated

Really though, Chima wasn’t really THAT bad. I mean, the speeders were useless but the big sets were kind of good. Please don’t hate, I hate Chima as much as others, but when you look at it overall, it’s not bad.

You hate Chima? Chima has so many itneresting plot ideas and has a lot of creativity put into it. Im sorry, we all make mistakes

Despite that play feature and figures of the last set mentioned on this list it doesn't make up for the Disney plus Star Wars tax on it.

the most underrated LEGO set to me will always be the X-Pod series.

The one set (I do not remember exactly) but I feel is underrated is the second rendition of the bionicle lego set, to me it was sort of awesome but sadly short lived, the first rendition I would considered as a weird start. Ah old times.

I actually really like the Bionicle reboot sets better. Apparently the original bionicle molds were fragile, and the reboot finally stuck with a few characters instead of replacing your beloved Lewa with whoever the hell Gresh is.

@@Earth-Ninja I grew out of them and the last line that I grew up with was when it went underwater, the bionicles were alright, I liked the lego sets more, I guess I liked the scale of it and part of me still believes if Bionicle were to ever get rebooted, it should be through lego sets.
