Fun Fact: Ecto-1 and Ecto-1A are 2 separate vehicles, not the same. Ghostbusters Afterlife helps with this, lindicating that they likely continued using Ecto-1A instead of Ecto-1 which Egon had brought back to his farmhouse, and was left forgotten.

Imagine this with a light kit, it would be awesome

I would 100% get this, I am legit looking at my lego ecto 1 right now. I really like Ghostbusters 2, and I wish lego would give us this set

To this day I believe this is the best Lego ECTO-1A ever created. If ghostbusters had been a continued theme, I definitely believe we’d have something very similar to this.

You should do a custom gunner seat to the ecto-1 and give it an old look , like in the Ghostbusters Afterlife trailer . Or maybe a custom Ecto-1B ( the videogame one )

I can’t wait for the Ghostbusters afterlife coming out in 2022

Love to see you do the same for the new Expert level ecto 1 set. People are already doing simple mods to make it look like the original Ecto 1, I.e. not applying the rust stickers and switching the ladder back to the correct size. Would love to see someone mod the 10274 set into an Ecto-1a!

It’s wired that the ecto 1-a has the ghost holding up 2 fingers meaning that they know there in a sequel

Oh my! This looks amazing! You've got the detailing of the Ecto-1A spot on! I love the fact that Ray is covered with the mood slime. Maybe LEGO should consider this as a build :D

When I made my ecto 1a, I tried to find a way to create the license plate but no plate looked similar. At the time I had the AMT ecto 1a and I took one of the two “ecto1a” license plates decals which fitted perfectly onto a 1 by 2 plate. I’d highly recommend this to everyone as it looks great and fits in well

Honestly any of those decals will fit on the actual car so they can come in as great use if you have any left over

I feel like the Ecto-1A was cool in the movies but it’s lights were too colorful and too busy for my liking. This is an amazing MOC, though!

Very awesome, any plans to make an Ecto 2 (the Copter from TRGB not the 2016 movie), it’s a shame there’s no way to make a small chopper to fit inside the build. Also any plans to make a Real Ghostbusters Kenner style build with the slopping roof?

hey awesome moc of ecto 1a and the Lego minifigs. I've been wanting to do lego ecto 1a this winter. I've seen minifigsme site before. I don't have the computer tools to draw a set of minifig prints for gb2 and yours are awesome. Could I buy a set of minifigs ie the bodies.

How did you draw the designs for the mini figures? Where did u get them printed? Thanks

How did you connect the slime packs to mini-figures back, the only thing i could think of is that those gray barrel things have a peg hole in them or else you would have to use a 1x2 hole in the middle rectangular block?

Do you have a pop parts list and instructions? I'd love to build this from my Ideas Ecto-1 too.

Actually. The Ecto-1A according to the Ghostbusters 2 novel is a completely separate vehicle from the Ecto-1. Proven that in Ghostbusters Afterlife. We see the Ecto-1

Yeah it was always debated whether they were the same car or different but now Afterlife has pretty much confirmed they are two separate vehicles.

if you want a truly authentic look you can get the following pieces 2X Plate W. Bow 2x2x2/3 - to replace the two studs on the plate with the hole 2X Plate 2x2 - this is to replace the 2x2 plate with stud hole to make the bow pieces hold in the front 1X Flat Tile 21x3 - this goes next to where the antenna is 6X Flat Plate 1x1 - Two goes on the hood to cover where the slope pieces were and the other four goes where the studs are showing 3X Flat Tile 1x4 this is to make the sides of the the Ecto-1 look smooth and a better take on the top sides if you're wondering - take a look of my video here on how I made my Ecto-1 look like the car more - kzread.info/dash/bejne/hmh-lbyumMrZZ7Q.html I hope you take my mod idea and add it to your Ecto-1 and 1a if you liked the idea you don't need to credit me it's a free mod to use for the Lego Ideas Classic Ecto-1

Personnaly My opinion i like the ecto 1A more then the ecto 1 since the ecto 1 looks really bland to me

My little brother is a big fan of Ghostbusters and he has the ecto one original but when he watched your video he wanted to make the exact replica of your Ecto one. He wants to know the instructions on how to make this because he’s having trouble with the top part of the vehicle he doesn’t know what piece goes where. So I was kind a wondering is there any instructions for this?

No instructions I'm afraid. The top part was put together mostly through trial and error.
