LEGO City Update - Coin Operated Amusement Machine MOCs 💪🔮🏒🏗🏹
Ойын-сауық
I've got a few medium sized spaces around my beach and boardwalk areas so I've decided to fill them with an assortment of Coin Operated Amusements. First is a Punchbag Machine for proving your muscles, next is a fortune-telling, wish granting Zoltar Machine (just like in the movie "Big" with Tom Hanks), third is an Air Hockey Table, and last of all is a very colourful Claw Machine!

I like the claw machine too. Lots of childhood memories of wasting time (and money) trying to get something from these machines. Agree on the fencing.

Great additions, the useable claw is brilliant and the air hockey looks bang on, perfect for the boardwalk. For people who haven't seen Big, it gets pretty creepy after he meets the mum from Miracle on 34th street in retrospect! 😳

I think you did a fantastic set of builds. I have done a few different Zoltar builds because I love the idea, one thing I did was add a string with the plug on the back just laying on the ground, and to add to your story there could be toms friend standing next to him with short legs and a surprise face showing the wonder of growing BIG. I think the placement is great for all of the builds. the claw machine could be the way you get the balls for the crazy golf, pick up the club, and token from the old fisherman then see what color you might get from the machine. So much good fun and entertainment for all the minifigs in Brick Nottingham. As always thank you for sharing your ideas and keep them coming. oh ya and Zoltar is my Favorite.

These game machine MOCS are so awesome Robin! My favorite is the claw machine and how you made it have a bit of a play feature. The air hockey table is also a smart design that I like. I like playing that game with my son. Now the Zultar machine is also really cool, i think it looks spot on and is an awesome reference to the movie Big which is a great movie. The punching bag is neat and has a good design with the small foot print. All of the machines you made would also look great in a bowling alley or arcade as well. I like the baggage sign in the train station and the addition of the red phone piece look really great! Adding the life guard's rescue buoy to his look out is a nice detail to. Awesome video Robin!👍👍

They'll do the same stuff under a different name. There's no Juniors anymore but there are still kinda Juniors sets!
Very nice little builds. I also prefer the claw machine for the bright colours. But Zoltar is a close second.
Robin, I absolutely LOVE those coin-op arcade games you've built! I may end up borrowing some of these designs when I finally do start building my own city. What I'm not so keen on is their placement. These would look tremendous in the vicinity of the arcade (I believe that's in the area of @Sweat). They just look out of context in this urban sidewalk area. Perhaps food carts, or a news kiosk would be better suited for this area? After all, it has heavy foot traffic due to the proximity to the train station, tram line, and boardwalk. If you really want these machines somewhere near the beach/boardwalk, maybe build them into an open-front building on the other side of the tracks from the minigolf? I still can't believe how great that air hockey machine is!!! Kudos!

Love the mocs. I'm torn between the fortune teller and the claw machine. They look great. Lots of little detail. The boardwalk is starting to fill up, though you still have some space. What about people doing henna tattoos, painting faces, or drawing you as a cartoon. Just some ideas.

Love all those builds Robin... could you not fit a teddy bear in the claw machine... or possible a rubber duck (the green version maybe)? Couple of things i'd change - not sure about the bare-chested torso of Zoltar, and i'd swap Zoltar with the Punchbag... thing the punchbag would go well next to the pub, for the drunk Stags to have a go on! : )

Excellent builds, Robin 👌 My favourite is the claw machine as well, but they are all good. Fantastic idea with the Zoltar scene. Regarding the amendments, I think the beach party sticker is a bit concealed by the guy by the grill in front of it, and would suggest moving it to the area between the fish'n'chips shop and the stairs. It seems this piece of wall could use a sticker, but you probably already tried that off camera... ☺️

Awesome builds RHB but not keen on their placement 🏹. I would have placed them all in an arcade building but appreciate they wouldn’t have been so visible. Very nice small additions. It's always great to see an almost finished area get filled up even more and this is the perfect silly stuff to fill it with. Personally, I like the air hockey table best but that might just be because I like air hockey so much and the mini build represents the real thing so well. The placement of the claw machine seems a bit weird, because it now looks like you can claw for balls to use in the crazy golf right next to it, but maybe that could be part of the story... Perhaps the balls from the machine are either a bit harder or a bit softer (or perhaps both, depending on the color) and that might be better for different shots. Either way it would look more out of place to have any of the other coin machines in that particular spot...

Great post. Thanks for the tips. Bought plans for bowling alley and want to put arcade on third floor. So built slightly different version of all 4 games. Had to adjust for the bricks I had in inventory. My favorite would be air hockey followed by the claw game. Trick best I could figure is find the ones loose on top. If all the toys to packed down to tightly, walk away and check back in a few days. Let others loosen up the toys for you. Ever do video on storage? Starting modify building instead of just building according to the plan. Plus planning some mocs. Have changed few times how I have my growing inventory of bricks stored/organized.
