Fun fact on the Zulus musket usage, they were equipped with old rifles and most of the times they weren't able to shoot a target, due to the fact that instinctively they closed their eyes while shooting. Apart from that great great stop motion!!

@@Gronk574 They closed their eyes because of the black powder they used. Actually not only them. During the Napoleonic wars almost all solduers closed their eyes or turned face away during the shot. After the shot there were a lot of smoke and sparkles and small particles and if it gets into your eyes you will get a lot of tears... Even in the movie "Patriot" you could see that soldiers turned faces away during the shots

@@LCMhistory Yes actual Legos! it’s hard to describe without photos. But mostly it’s the black torso from the lego Christmas figherfighters set (10263) with either black Kepis or driver caps, rifles, cutlasses or katanas, and a brown 6L with dark red banner for the emperor and a golden tassel at the top. The uniforms in the Russo Japanese war were adopted in 1889, twelve years after the Satsuma Rebellion so it would need to be different. Meiji modeled off the French style.

King Cetewayo, not wanting to invoke the ire of the British more than necesssary, ordered his warriors to only kill British military personal, not civilians. So he told them to 'only pierce red coats'. The fact that all the British survivors were officers, artillery men, or other personal wearing blue uniforms is believed to be because the Zulu warriors took that order a bit too literally.

@@LCMhistory I've seen it. Well I didn't say that no bluecoats were killed, just that the theory as to why none of the survivors were redcoats is because of as explained above. Some Zulus may have led the bluecoats slip away because of Cetewayo's orders, while others didn't care and killed everyone.

@@Johnny-Thunder Actually I was just wondering the history part of this statement. And actually some guys in that group told me that this fact was mentioned in a several history books describing that battle however no really avidence ever was provided and as a guy answered a lot of blue coats were swiped as well. So in any case thnks just for a another reason for deeper research on that battle

Zulu arsenal may not much, but they are very deadly, their spears can easly go through but when pulled out the barbs would snag internal organs, bow and arrow laced with poison that can kill a rat but can cause strokes to a fully grown human, iron axes and throwing blades can easly cut through bone. The Zulu even filed their front teeth that make them look like cannables, other tribes of Africa called them NeNum (Great Eaters) and the Zulus are so fierce and deadly, during the Colonial Era, Slave Traders ignore the Zulus with fear. Even Spike TV Series The Deadliest Warrior, The Zulu Tribe Warrior Deadliest weapons out match the Aztec Jaguar Warrior. Even today some modern African Citizens who is Zulu blood, still training the way of the Zulu.
