I love the “Oh it was personal now.” Line
Historically inaccuracies, as requested. I tried making this list as complete as possible! - None of Marie Antoinette's dogs were named Archibald - Marie Antoinette's palace during her reign was the Palace of Versailles, over 8 Million square metres in size. - Versailles was made from bricks, not marble, but however, some interiors featured marble walls. - Butlers were never involved in the construction of residences. - The front doors of Versailles were not made from oak. - Crosswords didn't appear on newspapers until late 1913. - Versailles contained hundreds on dining rooms, not just one. - Marie Antoinette didn't actually utter the phrase 'Let them eat cake', this was attributed to her after her death. - It was likely that there were no female chefs in Versailles. - Marie Antoinette's mother was not named Queen Marie the First, but Maria Theresa of the Habsburg Regions. - Marie Antoinette was not involved whatsoever in the construction of the Eiffel Tower, as it was constructed almost one hundred years after her death. - Versailles is located 42km (26 miles) from Paris, where the Eiffel Tower resides. Nowhere near as close as depicted in the video. - Napoleon Bonaparte likely never met Marie Antoinette, and he fought on the rebel's side of the revolution. - Marie Antoinette and Napoleon Bonaparte were roughly the same height - around 5'5. - Marie Antoinette never had anyone executed. - Marie Antoinette's wig was not the only thing chopped off from her neck up. (Just as a disclaimer, I found this video hilarious. The amount of thought and humour that went into it was insane. Keep it up!)

Innacuracies are: after revolution queen was beheaded, Eiffel tower was built after revolution, Napoleon was working with revolutionists and he was 5'7"
The reason why there were knifes on the tips of guns back then was so if the gun ran out of ammo then they could just stab their enemy instead of taking a good ass minute to reload the gun because guns back then took forever to reload and they didnt have that kind of time in war so they had bayonets to go "CAPOOSH" while in battle.
As a French myself, this is a completely accurate story. Yes our dogs bark like that and we fight with baguettes at the top of the Eiffel Tower when angry to each other. The Jacques prononciation was on point too.

One of the inaccuracies were that napoleon actually supported the French Revolution instead of being against that and by the way that ending scene was the best baguette fight I have ever seen
Historical inaccuracies I counted that I saw no one else comment on: - There was no artillery in the room you showed. - Bayonets were not swords, rather they were more similar to knives. - Said bayonets were almost exclusively used in battles, and were rarely fixed to the barrel in civilian locations. - No volcanoes have ever been blown up. - The closest volcano to Versailles, Marie Antoinette's former residence, is over 200 miles away. - Time travel does not exist. - The guillotine was not used by the French Monarchy, its first use was by the revolutionaries. - Trains were invented in 1804, roughly 11 years after Marie Antoinette's execution. - The police officers shown are that of the British, not the French. - The soldiers in the video are not what French soldiers looked like in the 1790's. - Child labor was not outlawed in France until the 1840's. There's many more inaccuracies, but most of the others have been mentioned by other commenters.

Napoleon became a revolutionary general after the King and Queen execution. He was part of the army that simply served whoever was in power at the time (which would be the King until he decided to flee in 1792).
@leopoldavedis2940
7 ай бұрын
@@SuperSecretBricks Well he was also a Jacobin at that times and you know the person who made him shine was Augustin Robespierre. Which is brother of Maximilien Robespierre you can research and see in Augustin's letters to his brother he said something like "Citizen Bonapart is also trustworthy" or something like that (i cant really remember sorry. But i dont believe a soldier who supports the revolution would serve a Queen but its just my opinion
@SuperSecretBricks
7 ай бұрын
@@leopoldavedis2940 In 1785, Napoleon joined the army, which belonged to the King until 1792. In 1789, following the revolt in Paris, the absolute monarchy became a constitutional monarchy, but there was relatively no battle, so we can say that Napoleon was in fact still serving the King. In 1792, the King and the Queen tried to flee, plotting to join allies to re-establish the absolute monarchy. They were caught, imprisoned and sentenced to death. In January 1793, the King got beheaded. As for the Queen, she got beheaded in October 1793. And it's only then that the Revolutionary Wars started to begin. As for Napoleon's political alignment, during that period he was a Corsican Nationalist and spent most of his energy in Corsica which was facing a complex conflict between Royalists, Revolutionaries and Corsican Nationalists. In 1793 he had to flee from Corsica back to Toulon in France, which is where he started to get support from Augustin Robespierre.
The most historical inaccuracy, is the depiction of Napoleon coming out of a CMF 24 pink polybag. Everyone knows he was introduced in the CMF 26 teal cardboard box.

The fact one of the revolutionaries was an Orc i find has interesting connotations for the timeline. Did the orc's win and the medieval human's formed an alliance with them for there own survival? Was there a massive Orc genocide by the human's who where secretly fascist and this one is all that remains'? Did the Orc's and human's unite against a more powerful force and forged peace? Did Scarlet's kingdom get wiped out and her these human's in this point in the timeline where colonist's? The door is open for something real interesting! Also, i'm pretty sure Napoleon had ulterior motives, and everything went according to plan...

I say, Take. Me. Out! In Flanders’ Fields, In Flanders’ Fields, ‘cause now we lie in Flanders’s Fields In Flanders Fields, the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie, In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields. Linus Van Pelt: What have we learned, Charlie Brown?
"WE ARE DYING FROM LACK OF FOOD AND STARVING TOO DEATH" 'What should we do your Highness' *LET THEM EAT CAKE* -Marie Antoinette
If there is a sequel, I have an idea for it: so the real life Jack is Max Robshepre, who after overthrew the king became power hungry and became just as bad of a ruler as the King Louis XVI (Who is real life Marie) so he used the guillotine to end everybody who disagree with him, which ended quite fittingly as in the end, he got overthrown and it was off with his head, but after the new government came into power, Napoleon came, staged a cue, got punched in the face and became the ruler of France, so I just gave you your sequel

@@TheB3 OMG HELLO 👋
I LOVED this video because of all the history! I know there were a lot of historical inaccuracies but I’ll take what I can get in an algorithm like this. PLEASE make more historical videos like this! I like anywhere between 1650-1980.

That’s actually really encouraging to hear, I might have to make more like this! As long as the minifigures make sense for the time period

Wait! I just had an idea for 24-ville! “Garret’s time travel CO.” What do you think?
First we got rocky from prehistoric times now we got steely and irony
It was nice to see our boy Garret return home safely,hopefully nothing bad will ever happen.
