LEGO WW1 Brusilov offensive history animation

Фильм және анимация

WW1 lego stop motion - one of the most lethal battles in history
The Brusilov offensive (Russian: Брусиловский прорыв Brusilovskiĭ proryv, literally: "Brusilov's breakthrough"), also known as the "June advance", of June to September 1916 was the Russian Empire's greatest feat of arms during World War I, and among the most lethal offensives in world history.

    The truly insane thing to me about WW1 is how they thought throwing waves of men at machine guns was a good tactic to use. I know in all war death is possible, but it seems like the WW1 officers and military leaders just wanted to kill their own men.

    Correction, it forced Germany to step back in in order to stabilise the front. Germany did not defeat Russia. In fact, had it not been for the advent of the revolution, it is widely believed that Russia would've made a second major breakthrough... and possibly ended the entire war.

    What people dont realize is that brusilov offensive even though a massive success for a limited time ,was a "Distracting offensive" so the pressure on northern front between Germany and russia cant be clamed and Germany forcefully divert its troop to southern Austria front to counter this front, so that Russia's main offensive could start to liberate the Baltics and push back Germans hard, but after Tsar nicholas realised that there wasn't enough forces for the main offensive, finally decided to continue brusilov offensive which not only disappointed brusilov into questioning russian military generals and high commands but also couldn't bear but just watch as the tides turned for offensive from that point on

  • @Victor_Sullivan12
    @Victor_Sullivan1220 күн бұрын

    Fun fact: In time of Brusilov Offensive happened biggest and bloodiest battle of Polish Legions in WW1, Battle of Kostiuchnówka. Poles, despite heavy loses succesfully defended against Russians. They stopped Russian advance on several days, which was important, because central powers army was retreating and they defended important point, what slowed Russian advance. They even retaked hill in a bloody counterattack without what they would lose fast. What's interesting they could and wanted to defend more time, but the wings (Hungarian if i good remember) escaped and if they stayed, they would be in encirclement. Despite this they still fought when retreating using dropped weapons and ammo by their allies. Edit: Your animations are getting better every video, great job!

    Interesting fact: Brusilov offensive was the only one military operation/battle, named from the name not from the place of the battle, or codename, like "Battle of Verdun", or "Operation Overlord", but from the name of the COMMANDER of the operation. It is because Brusilov changed his side during the Russian Civil war to bolshevics, and they named this offensive at his name.

    Great work my friend! :D How are you? Also got some great news! United Bricks came out with some new Revolutionary War minifigures so also you can get a George Washington minifigure as well! That'd be sick if you did the Battle of Monmouth which would be sick dude cause it was an important Battle of the American Revolution and also George Washington himself Charged the enemy on his horse but what's a true miracle is that bullets went through his coat and everything but didn't hit him at all or anything. That was awesome and it'd be an honor if you did that battle next my friend! Plus you can get some sick new Revolutionary War minifigures as well but also you could get some French as well too and also another thing about the Battle of Monmouth or well two things is that The Largest Artillery Battle happened at Monmouth then the entire Revolutionary War! Also Another thing which might be true or Legend was the famous Molley Pitcher as well which she helped Sponge the Canons as well which was awesome! I hope you love my idea dude and will do it! :D

    Hello again LCM, amazing videos, as always. Will you do a remake of the Battle for Berlin. Hitler's death was inaccurately portrayed, the Soviets all had M1 helmets, etc. Also, at 2:35, is that a Hungarian with an M43 cap?

    Need to make one... And the helmet is M17 hungarian helmet. Maybe a bit early for this battle but I have only 2 hats so I need smth for other soldiers and I use 2 these helmets as well.
