My biggest pet peeve is batman's eyes. They've made a point of showing us how battinson wears makeup under the cowl to get black eyes, would have definitely liked a new head print over the classic white sweatband

Colin Farrel appeared in the first Potter/Fantastic Beasts minifigure series. He has a double-sided face and swappable hair to change into Johnny Depp!

Not only that ... the Percival Graves figure (Colin Farrel) was ONE per box, so he's becoming quite expensive to buy..

I think my favourite thing about Jang's reviews is that he reviews the build in a lot of detail. A lot of reviews but a lot of weight on the minifigs and I just prefer to hear about the build and the build process

True, especially for big build where it important to know the pace, struggles, or even the joy of the build. His breakdown of the build of the 20th anniversary slave one was the reason I got it. Best reviewer out there

My latest set I got, haven’t gotten one in like 2 years, I chose because of its design and what I had heard of its build process. I use to always get like Ninjago and Star Wars but to be frank, many of them are quite hallow to build. The bigger sets (only have like 2) felt great to build but the most smaller ones weren’t that interesting.

The sleekness of the car is very pleasing. Although it looks a lot like the Ghostrider set.

Honestly I’d say that’s almost a selling point. Robbie Reyes’ car is based on a 1969 Dodge Charger, and the new Batmobile is a heavily modified 1969 Plymouth Barracuda. Those cars are almost identical in real life, as were many other muscle cars in that year, sharing the same general design philosophy. The fact that the two LEGO cars look similar means that the designers did a good job modeling them.

Lego always seem to make good looking Minifig scale Batmobiles. I like that the new 8 wide builds are being utilised in more sets as it adds a good level of detail to these vehicles, imo.

Didn’t think it would be so much like a Speed Champions car. I’ve had my doubts, but your review convinced me that this set is good

Even tho the Bruce Wayne head was first used for Tom Riddle, considering that these sets were put into production a while ago, it’s safe to say that the printing and overall design was originally intended to represent Robert Pattinson.

Now that's a great car with a great interior! As for the steering wheel it's good to see it's centered in front of the driver, it usually isn't for Speed Champions. The Batarang shelf behind the seats is another nice detail.

Thanks for the comparison with the 6-studs and 8 studs wide speed champions, as well as with the recent minifig scale tumbler, it really does help to put things in perspective especially when considering adding it to a collection.

Having just seen the movie last night, this batmobile grew on me considerably! I might have to get it!

That's a nice set, makes a nice display besides the latests play scale Classic Batmobile and Tumbler, now they need to release a non-Limited Edition 1989 Batmobile in play scale.

The car alone makes me wanna buy this set even with it's flaws.

Thank you for the great review! I believe Colin Farrell's features were indeed represented in lego figure before for Percival Graves character

I wish they made a cool Tim burton version of the batmobile like this that is not a free with purchase. I believe a lot of people would like that version more affordable

That steering column shifter is very clever.

What I like best about this is the transition from 6 studs to 8 studs. All around makes a better proportionate vehicle that really stands out from near every city set. Having just assembled I hadn't even noticed rhe transclear orange in the front until you had pointed it out. Also not only the most detailed engine, but I think interior as well. And I don't recall at all Pattinson ever having a minifig representative though I think Farrell may have had one in the Wizarding World theme.

I thought I messed up at the end, 😂😂 I loved building the engine. I love that both sets give you options of 2 different heads (I have the motorbike set as well)

This Batmobile is cool for chasing your Villans down. But to me it does not scream Batmobile to me but it's still cool. Love the Engine build

Scored this set a week after it came out for half price. Thanks Walmart pricing error! Fantastic set for that price, but still not bad at full price. I enjoyed the build just as much as the Speed Champions sets.

I hope they give us a version of this Batman that has printing on the arms. Battinson has some cool arms in the movie

I know exactly how it felt, it felt like a Speed Champions build and it is compatible with 8stud series of vehicles.

Should definitely do a mod for the front bumper. Technic set did a much better job with the front bumper and hood

I built this and the roughly to scale Tumbler at the same time - this was a very unique build, but I like the results. I will say, though, that durability of the build isn't like the Tumbler. I left both this and the Tumbler on my build desk a touch too long, and my cat, Lux, decided to crash test both of them off the table onto a wooden floor. The Tumbler survived completely - not one piece out of place or snapped off! This model, though, was a wreck - small cheese slope pieces, the main canopy, and a lot more, were all scattered across the floor. Still love the model though - and I got to build it a bit more than 1 full time! :D

There was a Colin Farrel minifigure for Percival Graves in the Harry Potter minifigure series.

This was priced at $20 US at my Walmart, no mark down just the way it's priced. I'm thinking it may have been a mistake seeing that it should have been around $30 especially with it being new.

Just built mine :) I had already seen your review when you first put it out and I forgot that you get all those extra blast effects lol. I thought for sure I missed something and I scrolled back multiple pages just to make sure!

Honestly I was a bit shocked by how little I was into it once it was done. Perhaps it's a problem with making a set of a movie I havent seen yet, perhaps it's that this is my first speed champions 8 wide car and outsized lego models allways loose me a bit (remember Kanans 4 times too big hover bike in Star Wars Rebels?) I'm hoping for a 80s batmobile with this driving area at some point as we seem to be on the edge of a really good minifig scale model with the parts available now.

Wasn't particularly looking forward to this based on the official images - though I was going to get it anyway, just to keep the Batmobile garage up to date - but seeing it in hand in the video's turned me around on it, I'm quite looking forward to it now.

Best modification ever to it is changing the yellow thing to grey with the shooters

Your opening description of the build reminded me of the Technic McLaren Senna. That thing did not feel like a car until the very end either.

I think this is a brewer build then the ghost rider muscle car, more detail and two seats! Great way to get a muscle car from Lego that’s not speed champions

I agree they should have used the smaller cowl for the Batman minifig. It looks so much better. The only thing I wish that this set did differently in terms of the actual vehicle, would be to use a wider canopy piece. The car is oversized for sure, but the actual car is wide to an almost ridiculous amount (like a classic Plymouth Barracuda) and the six wide canopy makes the entire thing feel more narrow than I think it should be. If they used a wider windscreen piece, it would help fix that proportion issue and the set would look much more accurate to me.

Ever since I saw this new Batmobile, I was disappointed, it simply does not scream Batmobile in my opinion, that said, it does look pretty cool in itself, that motor part is just Wow, very detailed for a set at this scale, thanks for the review, Jang!

This build feels very reminiscent of the most recent Ghost Rider car set from the Spider-Man theme

I'm gonna give that Penguin a car another Penguin had in a previous set because screw buying minifigs from scalpers.

Seems like a good set but without actually have seen it in action, it’s hard to judge. Beside, I expect them to make one in that sweet $40 bucks range, so wait and see.

If you told 12 year old me that THAT car was supposed to be the batmobile, he wouldn't believe you. (It's still hard to believe)

Like it very much but why there are flames and pipes in the front when the engine is in the back...i dont get it...

I dont think the thing in the back is the engine, i think thats just the afterburner and the engine is still in the front

I got this and the Technic version, personally I felt this one was off and was way too long. I actually redesigned mine to match the length of the Dodge Challenger speed champions vehicle as it has a similar look.

I feel like it should be a tad wider. Coz the actual Batmobile is wider than your normal car.

I just found one at 25eu so I didn't hesitate to pick it up. I won't use the stickers for the rivets nor the blue transparent pieces and certainly not the "wheels cap" which I find odd (for those cars I always pair them with a Hotwheels and there is not such cap on the 1/64 version, I will use the 2nd variation from the 2021 mainline which is glossy like the lego parts are, 1st variation was mat). Anyway, I'm sure I will have fun building her and put it in my collection, the 007 and F&F Speed Champions will go along perfectly fine with that Batmobile.

I got this set and I like it. Not as good as the Tumbler but it’s still good.

with the new movie speed champions cars i think this is a great set to buy along side those, it is only a shame they didn't give him a new batman face just for pattinson combined with the cowl with no chinstrap

Would’ve been nice to see a bit more engine detail, I mean come on the movie shows a v8 so why does it only look like it has 6 cylinders? If they made an icons line of this car hopefully they give more detail bc I would love to have one

Sadly not out in the UK yet, but it looks as fantastic set. I agree about the dual-moulded legs and the cowl, but personally I think they should have done a new cowl mould that looks more like the version worn in the movie.

Is this the same scale as the new/current Speed Champions?

2:18 OMG I took out the amber studs in the grill because it made no sense for a signal lamp to be mounted in the middle of the grill. Now i gotta find those bricks and get them back in so i can see this effect for myself. /)_-

Compared to the minifigs, modern cars are the size of small buildings.

My biggest gripe is the engine looks like some variant of a v6 even though the movie had a v8.

I think this lego batmobile looks better than the real life/movie batmobile for this new movie...

It would be a pretty dumb chase. Is The Penguin chasing batman? Batman gets away. Batman chasing The Penguin? The Penguin is going to get ran over.

I do take issue with the rear. Why is there a gauge? You'll burn your face off reading that gauge. Also I would have rather the lights be bricks but that's a minor detail and a personal preference.
