Perturabo and his Iron Circle would be an interesting unit.

I think we will see primarch and also think they will be stood on a base with their very only epic scale tactical rock underfoot.

I really hope so too. We had daemon primarchs in the original epic

I came into this game not having a whole lot of Horus Heresy knowledge, but had my mind blown that you can field both loyalist and traitor formations in the same force. It seems crazy that you could gave a force of Ultramarines and Son's of Horus in the same force.

There where quite some traitors within their legions (loyalist and traitors alike). We had iron warriors fiighting alongside the imperial fists in ultramar. We even had a case where a traitorus White scar unit (the white scars had a civil war at the beginning of the heresy) mudering a loyalist world eaters formation.

The psytitan is in the rule book and is loyalist specific 🤙

The Psi-Titan is Loyalist specific for example.

Certainly solidly future-proofed for the future. The proviso is always how successful the core game is in driving supplementary releases, but it is looking good on both fronts at the moment - the rules allow for future development and the community appears very enthusiastic.

This exactly, I was in my LGS effectively saying I want to spend more money on this game, the only limitation being I have enough of the currently available products except maybe predators/ sicarans. I want to explore using Spartans, land raiders, the other stage 1 units (in the book) drop pods etc. The opinion of a classic whale haha.

Interesting. Wonder if any will be covered in the Great Slaughter? I suppose they’ll focus on generic units first (of which there are still plenty to go), so it might be a while until we see the legion-specific stuff.

Yeah I'm not holding my breath for TGS, I imagine that'll close out the core units and have some more Titan flexibility on there.

Currently right now there is exactly one Loyalist unit and that's the Psi titan

More to come I think. Page 176 of the rulebook shows Leman Russ tanks with demolishers/plasma cannon. We've had no sighting of them so far - a different kit or another option for the Leman Russ boxes when they are released?

If they bring out specific units in resin from Forge World for the game players will storm Nottingham HQ with torches and pitchforks.

One though that struck me whilst watching this video and thinking about White Dwarf 493.... Do you think, after a few LI specific supplements, that GW will switch to combined books for Horus Heresy, featuring rules and profiles for both LI and Age of Darkness? Since the setting and narrative are the same, only the rules and profiles are different, if GW are producing new models for both, it might make sense to design and manufacture them at the same time. This could give AoD a second wind, as the model releases have slowed to a trickle. I'd see these combined books having a heavy campaign nature,. That recent WD 493 article, about combined campaigns, could just be the start of how they mean to continue. That could also breathe more life into: * Adeptus Titanicus, although that already has a Campaign Compendium out, which includes Beta-Garmon * Aeronautica Imperialis The latter doesn't currently have a separate section on the new webstore but the former does. The AI HH rulebook only seems to be available if you search for "Aeronautica Imperialis" in the webstore.

Legion specific units should have been available from the release.

I wonder if we will get any models in resin for this - we had a few for titanicus and aeronautica. Maybe a mini stormbird. Anyway, I expect we get the primarchs, maybe individually or as part of like a retinue set - eg Angron and some terminators or whatever - but then that begs the question of do we get daemon and OG versions of the relevant primarchs. Can't see them doing other named characters though really - and they certainly wouldnt be able to charge us much for them as they would be dinky unless included as a bigger set as I mentioned before - maybe a character sprue for each legion - Imperial Fists - Sigismund, Fafnir Rann, Evander Garrius and Rogal Dorn - again though it will be hard to sell those at such a smal scale - I wouldnt buy 4 characters for £30 in this scale for example - which seems to be the typical price point.

They could potentially release characters with units that they associate with. A Legion pack that includes all units, some characters and the Primarch. I imagine in resin.

@@blackbriargaming5483 I 100% expect something to come in resin for it, maybe they upscale characters slightly to fill out a base a bit better as well as legion specific units - EG just getting Kharn on a 28mm base will look daft, but red butchers, 5 to a base and Angron on a base by himself makes sense
