Minor correction: Most restaurants no longer source their fish from Tsukiji since the market itself moved to Toyosu. The larger shops also opened places in Toyosu, but it doesn't have the character of Tsukiji.

Lol, everyone running to Mikeys rescue. It's ok guys, we know he's human and can make mistakes. He doesn't need your crusade. That said if this is true you would expect the tour guide to correct him on that.
You could shave 1000 lemons and you still wouldn't have the zest for life this guy has. It's inspiring 🥰

Lemonzest is disgusting. I hate how so many people use it. Why would i want wood shavings in my food?
Here in New Zealand we use mackerel as fishing bait. When I went to Japan I was surprised to see it on many menus, but it quickly became one of my favourites. Such a delicious fish!
I can't wait to go back to Japan, until then these Japan videos are lifesaver~ Thanks and waiting for more to come!
Great food tour, love the good vibes of you and the tour guides! Keep doing your best!
The little details like the cost of each thing don't go unnoticed by your viewers! Thank you for starting to put the prices of the things you're eating on there, hopefully each dish will have the price next to it eventually!
Cool, another Tsukiji visit!! With a guided tour no less! Awesome, thanks Mike 😄
Livin' The Dream! Love This Channel, keep up the Great Work!
The reason those cows were staring because of all their relatives Mike has eaten!🤣🤣
fantastic content and really good guides!
Good lord how does Mikey eat so much? His head is expanding I don’t think it’s gonna stop.
I have no idea how you deal with all the jet lag from all your traveling. Here's to 2023 coming, and another year of me eating vicariously through you.
Been to tsukiji before, now that I’m in Japan and been living here for 6 months, will definitely try out those places again. Going to travel to Tokyo the end of the year. Oh boy can’t wait!
*Happy Birthday Mike* Hope you had a delicious day 😋
I’m here in front of the barista at turret and I showed him a screenshot of this video of you and the tour guides. He was so happy. He was like “ahhhh I remember them, thank you for coming!”
That run at the beginning looked GLORIOUS!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 🎄
Thanks Mike. Solid all the way around.....content....filming.....narration......all of it.
I’ve always loved the way breakfast is handled in Japan.
Looks delicious - Brilliant video and a Big like👍

These AWSOME stalls probably serve the best! There is so much respect for the food
Great video! Everything looked so delicious! Speaking of delicious, hope you had your dumplings today! 😉👂🤣
Mikey, your food journey has come so far! I remember you didn't like sushi that much because you were staying away from raw fish, and you didn't drink coffee that much! Now you love both things!!
EVERYTHING LOOKS SO YUMMY & SATISFYING!!!
Really love seeing how you’re mine has changed And adapted, I use to watch your videos and you’d be soo hesitant about eating raw fish😂 you’re an inspiration to us all
Thanks for posting- will be there in Japan in five weeks!
I do enjoy your videos. A lot. Miss your biographical story telling times. Have a great holiday. Many blessings
It was interesting to hear the proces of how bonito is dried. All of the tuna looks beautiful, and I weep every time I see you order a sashimi don (because I want one).
I loved this video so much, man the food looks incredible. I really hope one day I touch down Japan
What a lovely market and foods many thanks for your video.much love..one love..respect.
I SO WISH THE US HAD MORE OF THIS!!!! SIGH 😞!!! Merry Christmas 🎁 and a Blessed 2023 🎊 🎊 🎉🎉❤❤😊😊
I just wanted to say "Thank you!". My very first Sakuraco box (December) came today. So, Christmas Day, I'll be drinking tea and trying delicious snacks, all thank to you.
I just LOVE how you have come around to sushi and sashimi! Especially because you are always there, at the source of the magic! Thanks for the great content Mike.
So tempting
Happy Birthday Mikey
weve been here 6days ago ! food here is so delicious!!
Loved Tsukiji market when I went to Japan. Would love to go back
Merry Christmas
Have a great Christmas day!
Will be interesting to see the new Tsukiji
That Mackerel breakfast looks simple but God I was salivating the whole way
It's amazing how Mikey came around on raw stuff - absolutely hooked on the otoro now :D I'm same with the mackerel though really: it has such a nice flavour!

Contrary to popular belief: most sushi is not raw, but rather prepared for consumption by freezing, aging, salting, brining and marinating. Plus, each condiment is a preparation in and of itself: the sushi vinegar, soy sauce, wasabi and ginger are there for a reason beyond taste, they make the seemingly "raw" fish safer to consume.

This style of tour with your own curated chef. What else could a viewer want in a food fantasy?
The tour is cool. I've always said I'd love to go places but only with someone who knows the language and places to go.
Nice video! That food looked really good First btw
Amazing 😀
LOL I like how he was thinking about the big boiling pot of meat the whole time XD
Hey Mike. Love this vid. The making of wasabi.. Great friends. That big pot of beef was huge. Blessings... ❤️🐞
Watching this video makes me want to move to Japan 🇯🇵 ✈️
not sure how i missed this! but watching it now.
Love this guy ❤️👍
I hope you get to Okinawa Japan. My husband and I lived there before. It is totally gorgeous.
Ugh! I hate that I missed meeting you here in Florida. I hope your trip was amazing!
Mikee drinking coffee and eating sushi a lot, whoaaaa 🤯🤯
After years of watching Mikey I’ve realized that when he looks like he’s bitten his lip, he actually loves the food 😅
My lord these dishes look good (gimme the mackerel all day long!). So awesome that these two fellows could give you such an inside scoop. This market is absolutely on my bucket list.
One of these days I hope to go to some of the places you have been maybe I can get to meet Mike Chen and he can show me the right places
When we visited, one of the amazing things that I noticed besides the food, was that with all that seafood out in the open, there were no flies and everything was so clean!
Awesome share
Wow, that’s what I call a breakfast👍👍
Mikey is very smart to stay out of new York this time of the year. This year huge snow storm hits up north badly. Many people died. Even down south is very cold with snow.
at 13:46 - that salmon looks beyond amazing!
Shout out from South Africa 🇿🇦 you are my idol. When I am down your video's make me feel better.
I struggle with sashimi. I don’t want raw fish but like it cooked. This was great. Very informational.
What's up tokyoBrah! Looking good!
Food is the only thing that makes people come together and have an enjoyable moment well depends who cooks it and also music does the same thing to.
Lol...how much does Mikey not like sushi...but he can't ignore it any longer in order to get new content...? 😆😆😆
Awesome videos
Lmaooo I knew he was gonna eat more once he parted ways with those guys, lol that wasn’t even close to enough food for Mikey Chen!!
the seafood tour can't even fill 1/4 of Mike's tummy
That athletic greens really is good, I got a 5-day Supply sample at Art Basel in Miami and boy that stuff did the trick.
The thing in the pot on the way to meet the two guys was gyuudon (beef-bowl), was written there, too: 牛丼。
Happy Birthday
21:43 bro got a free tour from them and didn’t put in the information

Yeah, why aren’t they mentioned or tagged? I went back and listened to when he introduced the two tour guides and they don’t say a name but mention that they’re partnering with “______ Arigato Japan” and if you google “arigato japan food tour” I think that might take you to it?
not mike out here exposing my favorite daily coffee spot 😂😭
I need all of that
11:59 the orange stuff is good
And to think that just a couple years back Mikey avoided raw sushi like the plague.
What is the name of the tour company?
Mikey "UMAMI" Chen..not one video without his special word lol....
Planning to go back to Japan most likely towards the end of this decade…Tokyo & Osaka.
Happy to see the Hachiko District guys starting a food tour company! I’ll definitely check it out for my Tokyo trip this November!
Holy!!! lets gooo!! Def my kind of food!! whre all my foodies at?? ✋✋✋✋🙋♀🙋♀🙋♂🙋♂
That wasn't enough food for Mikey with the tour...He went back to get two bowls...😂
Seafood one of my fav kind of foods!!! Great vid as always Mikey
Yappyy’s precious
Go Tsukiji...
I might need to look up this tour guide for my honeymoon in a couple years…
You're in my neck of the woods enjoy it's gonna be great
I had a hard time getting used to the new people, but I then seen Mikey was having fun with the people and the experience. It truly makes my day when I get to see you having these experiences, thank you for letting all of us join you on these trips.
Great video as always, the food looks amazing. I love the scallops BBQ
Coming to Tampa Fla very soon
Mike brah, there are a bunch of sushi restaurants in NYC that serve fresh Wasabi! Can't believe you've never been to any of them?! You gotta seek them out when you're back in New York.
(#56) Miami is such a melting pot. I love ❤️ 😍 💖 the food down there.
Hi sir Mike watching from🇵🇭
For those unaware that the "Neon Green Wasbi" Is actually Horseradish with food coloring and that "real" wasabi is a much lighter green color and milder in flavor.
@noortjelief1987
Жыл бұрын
Is there anyone out there not knowing? the real wasabi is impossible to keep fresh and there are so so so many sushi places, the demand could never be met with the real one.
great video, sadly to think about there will be no more bonito soon ...
