It is really nice to see Skyline GTRs being built as track weapons as they were intended to be originally instead of being wasted as straight line dragsters with +1000hp.

Same with MK4 Supra's the ones in Japan are really well done track weapons. All the ones in the US are on drag tires, really disappointing but I get it.

Pretty much Australia, most GTR’s are built to be roll racing/drag weapons

The Turbo lag was a killer but once it hits that boost WOW

i think its more the gearing, you gotta rev em all the way to 8 to keep it above 5200, friends r32 gtr with n1 r34 twins was same, ooooorrrr some cams :P but i think if misha revved any higher would have overheated pretty early, im guessing it could run full tilt on shorter track but the ring is so long when revving to 8k in a twin turbskie car.

@@keatonjones6115 giving RB cams is just going to push power curve even more into top end which will just hurt throttle response and RB heads are flowing well from factory compared to 2J heads which need to be ported RB needs a equal length exahust header, modern single turbo + electronic waste gate setup which will both improve its peak power and throttle response shorter gearing could fix things but then you trade acceleration for top speed and still factory twin turbo + log style header are a massive bottleneck here

I had cams on my r32 with n1 turbos. Gave more area under the curve once dialled in. Very good mod

RB's and JZ's really have a unique sounds, but it's funny how our childhood hero cars show there age especially with boosted cars. You gotta fight to keep the RPM up to keep them responsive. Definitely part of the fun and nostalgia though.

Rb engines sounds really good. I’m more a r32 skyline person, but always respect for people building skylines, because these machines ain’t cheap.

This one deserved a second lap, the car seems to be faster than that, Misha being used to the car and the tires being hot. The straight-line speeds are insane and the sound is wonderful. 🙂

Great car, but you definitely see that it’s very laggy so you don’t get the power when you really need it while pedalling to maintain high speed transitions. It definitely needs a boost recalibration/ or turbos re-setup

He was shifting up a bit early and not downshifting in many corners where he could have. Gotta keep the revs above 5K in these things. I got the impression he was really taking it pretty easy, more so than most laps.

@@coolguy_2997 You're right, and that's why I think that with Misha having more knowledge about the car it could be faster, managing the rev range better. That's all, but even taking that into account the car is fast. 👍

The fact that you can get in and out of so many different cars and do seamless heel toe AND left foot braking is fascinating to me and I envy you for it.

Yeah Jordan comes across as a douchebag who had to belittle someone else to try and protect his own ego after making a mistake. Even if James's weight was a factor (which is pretty laughable), it's still up to the driver to account for all the variables affecting the car's handling and accept responsibility for any outcome. So he basically admitted he is a piss-poor driver. Personally I don't find it funny at all and I wouldn't remain friends with such a person.

If the gtr had a better transmission i swear it blows past the porche. you can see the porche leave every time misha shifts. Love to see this car with a sequential.

Its a deserved middle child to be honest. R32 is the lightest and most raw with racing pedigree, and the R34 had the most technological, chassis and aerodynamic improvements of the three. People were silly to pass a R33 up when they were cheap though

Got a 33 in GT7 and it’s absurd. Easily laps the ring in the low 7s. My most favorite car ever since childhood and out of all the GTR’s

4:40 I like that quick glance in the mirror before turning in, even though you were already going pretty quickly already!

The R33 is coming upto 30 years old, it can't be compared to modern cars. It was awesome for it's time and if you are lucky enough to drive one it's an absolute blast. Lots of drama and a symphony of sound, very visceral feeling!

Mine turns 30 years old in a few months, series 1.5 GTST, unfortunately it spends a lot of time in my garage but the times I do drive it always puts a smile on my face. This video gives me lots of inspiration haha can't wait to finally get mine to a similar level as this thing

90s cars and modern cars are pretty much the same, all modern cars have done is add weight and driver safety which for a track car is unneeded. You can even put HKS V cam on the RB engine if you want VVT but on a track car people disable that anyways and put bigger cams on in pretty much any car that is going to be a track weapon so the difference between a 90s car and 2020s ends up being nothing at that point. This cars AWD system is better than most modern as well and you can get an updated computer from like do-luck that greatly improves response. A R32 GTR recently won world time attack in Australia by a number of seconds which is astounding.

You want to know anything about RB engines you look at what Australia do with them! Some of our GTRs are ridiculous because we have had them since the late 90s! I had my R33 GTR when i was 23! Sold it for peanuts and couldnt even buy the same one back if i wanted too! There was just a boom in price and within 2 years GTR prices went from 25-50K to 70K+

We have had RB's in Australia since the mid 80's and GTR's since the early 90's.

I love cars like this. So, watching you take it around one of the coolest tracks is amazing.

What a beautiful car. It has lag, true, but it revs a lot high, like a NA car. Long gear ratio doesn't help, but is a wangan car after all :) if you keep the car engine in the correct range, is very explosive. Also the sound..unique. Thanks for the video! Cheers from Italy.

I’m still watching. Looks like the gearing is a bit long for the first part, you end up in turbo lag zone a few times. Something strange is the km counter doesn’t work, i thought it was coupled with the speedometer somehow. Very nice engine /turbo noises…

I changed the speedo to Nismo dials, had the milage corrected but it stopped working, just need to get it fixed 😅

swap those outdated tired turbos for two g25-550's to keep twin or a g30-770 turbo and you'll eliminate a huge amount of lag. the new g series turbos from garret is just amazing. iykyk.

I don't have the means to get such a car but its the same exact GTR I drive around Nürburgring in AC1 every time I get hahah! I just love that sound man and that Whistling sound as you lift off the gas And I know I know its cliche at this point, but same love goes to the Nissan Skyline of Brian from 2Fast 2Furious. RIP

That bmw was flying. Ring rental car too. The GTR looked really nice, surprised that the 1 series didn't loose too much in the power sections, to still be with him that late in the lap is impressive

After that (edit 1) blue R34 Skyline GT-T a little while ago, now we get Misha behind the wheel of the third best car of all time. No prizes for guessing what #2 and #1 are! (edit 2) My memory was half-height first time around, Misha did drive a silver R33 GTR before this. Good to hear Godzilla roar. I am by no means an engine expert (sadly still a way off owning an RB26 myself), but that setup seems to waste a good amount of that tachometer.

Misha charoudin should be drivin that stradale so he will not be lefted in the dust by Porsche gt. I'm a bit screwed this time but that skyline GT-R was stunning.

The noise makes up for the lag. Watching you chase down the porka in a much older and heavier car was impressive. I bet if you compared the onboards the R33 is a much better watch.
