This smells like Bandai forced them to do it.

My only gripe is that most of the DLC costumes (and some in-game costumes) are only for the entire body. I really want to mix and match different costumes parts to make spectacular creations.

I bet it's only the competitive and nostalgia players that would plan to buy these legacy outfits. Even though I started playing from Tekken 6, I don't feel like I need every legacy outfit just to play the game. 4 default outfits for each character is way more than SF6 outfits - where you can only get 2 colors.

Official company policy or even the unofficial company policy known as "corporate culture" dictates what games get a cosmetics store and what don't. The only time somebody will have to get a tap on the shoulder is if they drag their feet or actively refuse to follow the rules.

Just expecting to the most expensive FG currently to not have in game shop or to have profit only on sells and season passes are kinda naive. With how base game costs, they forced to sell stuff even if bosses didn't demanded it.

I already paid for the game once. I don't want to spend any more money on it right now. As long all of the items in the shop REMAIN AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES then I may buy something months or a year from now. I just don't want to put up with any FOMO crap from battle passes like SF6, Overwatch, and Call of Duty like to do with their battle passes.

I find this quite absurd and I don't wanna see any of you guys saying it's just 3.99$ It's fair price! No I bought this game in ultimate edition so I would have stuff that I don't have to buy for already and this is far from it having legacy costumes from older games are gems and I don't wanna miss those. I hope that there will at least be *something* to do with all of the fight currency that you get. I know some players at this point are just sitting on the stuff with nothing to use it on, similarly to Hearts in MK 11

Who redid Xiaoyu's dress? That dress would never bell at the bottom like that even in real life from that material. They love it so much but took no time to model it correctly. I am not a fan of this. We can say all the other companies are doing this, but I played Tekken because it was Tekken. So far they have done everything SF6 has announced but worse which all could have been avoided if they just stayed true to their mottos which alone made them a superior franchise for their handling of dlc content. This is not it.

I don't care about paying money at this point, its 2024, i just want Nina in her T6 costume and signature ponytail

I'm gonna need Lili's Tekken 5 outfit with the pants and corset. Never gets enough love but that's probably one of my favorites for her.

Shouldn't be surprised it managed to get to Tekken also and it also followed 'wait until sales and reviews are done to implement the microtransactions' strat. Time to huff the copium that they allow the conversion of the in-game currency to whatever Tekken Shop needs.

This really sucks considering that I got the collector's edition but it's just aesthetics, the customization and base costumes are already really good so I'm good.

Tekken 8 managed to be a good game… as long as they do right by using the Tekken shop money to continue to improve the game then so be it.. people who don’t want the costumes don’t have to buy but I will criticize the fact that we get all this in-game fight money and we can’t even use it.. it would be an incredibly different story if what we purchased gave us advantages in game… this is as merciful as microtransactions can be 💀

Guys, I know this is not the ideal for us players, but the base game came in a full package (at least imo). All they add from now on is extra content, I think its fair they charge for it, as long as is not an abusive price. The game is meant to last for the next 10 years, so obviously they have to captalize it in other ways to bring more content for us. We just cant accept abusive prices or pay to win stuff, other than that, just don't buy it if you don't think its worth for you.

Why do y'all hating on this when it's just skins, and not even that expensive like $4 is extremely low in comparison to any other game, plus, it's not like they're selling super cool skins with special effects, for now at least

Now all we need to see is if there is any way to aquire the new currency

I for one am excited about this Having past tekken outfits return is already a huge deal, never been a thing before in any tekken game and having everything be priced at 400 coins, 3.99 is a good price point Sure, it'd be nice if it was free but at the end of the day these things are (say it with me now) OPTIONAL, you do not have to buy them, no one is forcing you to It's just something for people willing to spend a lil extra, like me

What are you talking about? Do you know your Tekken history? They LITERALLY brought back this Xiaoyu dress and Jin Tekken 4 as FREE dlc in Tekken 7, Anna's white jumpsuit in 6, and 8 has their defaults from 7. They have done this before and we got the content for free before.

I didn't know those outfits were brought back The rest tho is fair, ya got me there (never played Anna before so again, no idea)

I wish it was for in game currency, but you could just buy skin(s) for your main only and be done with it.

Can we please have the dafault colors of these costumes to be added with the default costumes so we dont have to waste a slot for them?

I get what they're trying to do, but the overall reception to this update is negagive for a multitude of reasons. I think a better idea would be that you can get Legacy skins with the currency you get from online matches, but people should pay money if they want to outright buy the skins
