The magic has gotten so Disney-like at this point. I liked the subtle magic on TVD and the slightly elevated effects on The Originals. At this point its like one big episode of Shadowhunters meets Descendants.

@@yoyo-uy1zs I don’t hate Shadowhunters, is it the most well written thing on television? No. I like some things about the series, other thing I can look past and some make me cringe a bit. I’m sure you feel that way about certain series too, whether they be television, book etc.

Agree. Legacies is more like fantasy instead of supernatural. The magic light and spark effect are so visible. This show feels more like "Shadowhunters", "Legacies" and "Charmed". Plus, the school's students are like the students of "Monster High" and "Ever After High".

@@rockerdude8289 thank you, also, why are there so many of these teen werewolves and vampires. what are they doing about adults who activate the curse or get turned accidentally? Or are they going to deal with that when they go to college? I liked that the magic was subtle in TVD, Originals and even The Secret Circle. I hate that it’s all fireworks, Disney channel storylines and villains and creatures that look like something out of a kids series. Like what was the deal with the lady of the lake?

@@eventingirl001 I love it. They even showed the magic being "visible" when they went to the salvatore school in The Originals. You can leave now babes.

I like TVD and TO effects and Legacies special effects doesn’t consistently follow its predecessors. I have no qualms with special effects as I love Charmed, The Magicians, Harry Potter effects, what sets me off is that it’s more flashy and visible.

I think Legacies has a lot of potential if it were its own show apart from the tvd universe. It just feels so disconnected from its predecessors and very g rated compared to the originals for sure.

I think Lizzie was meant for much more and seeing her as an Heretic, would make her so much more. But how will Josie & Ric( if he ever comes back) deal with this?

I guess 'cause TVD didn't have it, plus in TO they used Ancestral Magic whereas In Legacies witches use earth magic or what is left of spirits magic
