And considering Hope wasn't the one who spread the witch bipolar rumor, we can also asssume that's on Josie too like this video shows. Spreading ableist rumors about her own sister shouldn't be excused, but Josie got away with it.

I knew that Lizzie was like Kai since the first episode of Legacies They both suffered/have suffered a lot and they are always seen like the bad silbing who destroy their respective sister's life but they are so broken inside. This edit made me cry so much and I've reppeated it so many times, I love it so much

He grew up as the only syphoner in the family and was thought of as an abomination because of it , where as Lizzie actually has love and a family that supports her and being a syphoner isnt seen as anything less than for her .

From the first episode, I thought that Lizzie was just like her uncle Kai but as time has gone on, I’ve seen that although they are alike, the one big difference is Lizzie does show remorse and wouldn’t willingly kill her sister, just look at what happened when she thought she killed her sister in the alternative world. She is more similar to him when he merged with Luke and began to feel bad for killing his siblings. I do think she will change drastically, just like Caroline did since the first season of Vampire diaries. Great video

Yeah but she also didnt grow up being called an abomination. Her parents tried their best to help her with her swings and outbursts, she wasnt made to feel like there was something fundementally wrong with her, either because of her magic or because of her psyche. Kai was basically treated as complete trash after they realized he didnt have his own magic. Which is what resulted in him turning into a sociopath. Neglect and emotional abuse. Lizzie wasnt neglected or abused by her family.

It's not nearly as bad as Kai, but we can definitely say Josie is an accomplice to the ableism Lizzie has endured throughout her life and that shouldn't be taken lightly either.

I would like to see that but Kai is legitimately a psychopath and most of all a sociopath. Even after merging with Luke his feelings of remorse didn't last long. Whether that was because of Bonnie leaving him trapped with the Heretics or because of his true nature, in the end, over-ridding Luke's qualities are unknown. If we do see Kai in Legacies I see him being a force that tries to divide Lizzie and Josie. Lizzie has weaker mental strength than Josie leaving her more susceptible to being manipulated and used by someone because she has this burning desire to be great, do great, and most of all be accepted and loved for who she is. Kai would zero in on that in a heartbeat and in the end take advantage of it.

Karolina Dean Kai became a monster from his family’s treatment, Damon, and Stefan kill people because they’re board or hungry. Stefan in almost two centuries of living couldn’t control his hunger? Damon has literally killed for no other reason than minor annoyance. Bonnie helps the guy who sexually assaulted her “best friend”, “killed” Jeremy, led Mason to a horrific death because they said so, but she became their friend, but a guy who was treated like shit by his entire family, and has a mental disorder can’t be forgiven. I’m not saying Kai is a good person, but even you have to see that most of the main cast are the worst of the worst. Remember the NY episode where Damon takes Elena to spots where she can feed all they want because of the large population nobody would notice a few deaths?

If Kai returns I think Lizzie and him will have a close bond

Considering Julie Plec said things about Kai possibly returning, I have this feeling the twins are going to pull a 'Hope', though mostly Lizzie. With a 'Hope' I mean, remember when Elijah told Klaus that Hope just might be the thing that would make him believe in family and unconditional love? Which did happen. What if Kai will find himself in the parallels between him and Lizzie, and will open up to the twins?

I feel like he could and it would make a lot of sense if he clicks with Lizzie because remember Jo came back and clicked well with Josie but not so much with Lizzie.

I think theres only two differences between Kai and Lizzie 1 - Kai is a sociopath , so he doesn't feel remorse ( at least before the merge with Luke ) and Lizzie does feel remorse and empathy . 2 - Lizzie has a dad that loves her , she has her sister , she has the school , she basically has people that love her and gave her affection all of her life , but Kai didn't , and that's also why he became a sociopath in the first place , because he never felt the love or affection that Lizzie felt while was growing up . Btw i loved the video

I love this sm because Lizzie realises that she’s messed up, and she sees that as weakness. But she has what Kai has - sheer raw power and she doesn’t realize just how strong that makes her. How’s she’s been able to deal with it so we’ll, whereas Kai got power drunk. And no one understood Kai, no one was there for him, his family exiled him but Lizzie has her family to love and support her and she still feels like she’s useless. And I really feel like Josie might be on the destructive path and Lizzie would rather sacrifice herself than let her power out during the merge

Despite that so many people hate Lizzie, I always loved her. Maybe it was because she reminded me so much of Kai and I just love that guy. I like that she is more like him and Josie is more like her mother. I need him to come back to Legacies.

My thing about the scene where her and Josie are like competing. Lizzie is siphoning from a book, Josie was siphoning from the whole school. It’s been showed that Lizzie is strong with like telepathy or whatever you’d call it and that Josie is strong with fire.

This is a great video but I personally think Lizzie is better than Kai. The only similarity I can see is that they both think they are defective twin and the broken one.

My theory is that Lizzie is not the defective twin and that she will swap dynamics with Josie; the whole narrative they have constructed with her being more of the antagonist is almost too definitive. Plus, Lizzie does show remorse and regret for her actions, especially in the alternative world.

Bonnie Guardia yea and Josie was able to just set Penelope on fire like it was nothing, she showed absolutely no remorse. I was thinking this, that Josie could end up being the kai of the twins. although Lizzie is bipolar and may have freak outs she can’t control she is so terrified that she could hurt someone especially Josie. But I hope none of them end up bad and work together to stay alive

Lizzie and kai are so similar and I never noticed it before. She’s living proof that bad life doesn’t have to equal bad person He’s living proof that bad life creates monsters. They’re just so similar I can’t believe more people don’t see it

I love kai and Lizzie so much, they are my favourite characters from both shows. They are so much alike and this video made me tear up. It’s astonishing how Lizzie is so much like Kai. And to everyone who may say “he killed his siblings, he killed his whole coven”. Yeah he did, but he paid for most of it in the prison world. Where he was trapped for so long, where he slowly lost his sanity more and more. Kai is not the worse villain in the whole show. When Katherine was dying even Stefan showed remorse. He found a way to understand how she became the way she was. She did a hell of a lot worse things than Kai, and was still understood. If Kai was to come back in Legacies it would make the show so much better to have an (in my opinion) original character back. Kai deserved so much more. ❤️

I think they both just wanted to feel like they had some types of importants in others and especially there own life and not having that kinda escalated them to act out or be like the black sheep’s of there family. They do remind me of one another but hopefully Lizzie won’t be so consumed by how she’s feeling that she ends up like her uncle

When Lizzie was destroying things in the kitchen it reminded me of Kai at the wedding

I think if kai came back he would (try) to kill Josie so that they can’t merge and he would remain the leader and Lizzie is more like him.

Klaus, kai and psychotic Stephen have always been my favorite because of how broken and beautiful they were. Lizzy is their female version.

If Legacies does make it to a Season 6 it’s gonna be a hard season to watch when they turn twenty-two and seeing how they deal with The Merge Lizzie definitely reminds me a lot of Kai and shares a lot of similarities with him but also she reminds me of Caroline before she was turned Insecure and impulsive and didn’t think or acknowledge other people’s feelings but she changed and there’s still Hope for Lizzie to change and grow and become a better person 💖

I really loved this video, it made me cry, if Lizzie looks like her uncle in certain things, I love my beautiful Lizzie too much, sometimes I usually identify with her. Excellent work

I never realized how similar they are, which is surprising. But even then, the only thing they have in common are things that are out of their control. When it boils down to it, they differ in every other way which I think is great writing. Even the hair. His is dark brown almost black, and most perceive black as that of evil things. Lizzie's is white which most perceive as pure and good. Yeah, they both are arrogant but Kai uses his arrogance as a weapon, Lizzie just knows who she is and isn't afraid to show it. I've noticed this contrast with her and Josie, too. Josie plays the victim, Lizzie owns her circumstances. And again with the whole black hair/white hair thing.

Ive been saying since the first episode that she takes after Kai. Except Lizzy has stronger will power and tries to be good. She fights her demons and Kai gave into his demons. I think the second half of the last season (this gives them (I mean us fans) at least fourr seasons. And the merge will be the last few episodes. I have a theory. Couldn't they have one of the twins passenger into another body(like Katherine and Elena). Yes I know they aren't vampires but that gift was bestowed upon Kathrine from witches whom didnt consider them selves witches and plus the twins have already taken a ride by being in Caroline. A spell from the strongest witches on the planet would work. We have Hope, Freya, Davina , Bonnie the twins themselves. Caroline would inlist Bonnie and Hope would inlist Davina. Hopefully Davinas friend ship with Haley still holds water. I just know Davina would take mercy on young girls as they are mere victims of magic and she was a victim of magic herself.

Yes, yes, 1000x yes. This was incredible. They are easily my favorites from their respective shows. I feel like Kai and Lizzie are so similar. I feel that Lizzie is what Kai could've been if he had supportive parents. I think Alaric knew that and has been trying very hard to make sure that Lizzie never felt like an abomination. The Kai that we saw on TVD was the Kai after 22 years of being shunned by his family. I think it's often forgotten that he may have not started out as a psychopath. How would his life been different if he wasn't a siphoner? That is why is see so many similarities between the two. The only real difference I see is that Lizzie has a father that loves her regardless of her powers and Kai did not. I think Chris Wood and Jenny Boyd do an incredible job at portraying these complex characters. Of course I'd love to see Chris Wood come back so Lizzie and Kai can interact. I think it could be something pretty incredible. On another note, you have an incredible editing style. You seamlessly create a parallel between two distinct stories and characters. I thoroughly enjoyed the story you told. Visually, aurally, and emotionally.

Y'know, I'm just wondering how Alaric and Jo doesn't see the heavy similarities between Kai and Lizzie. How they didn't notice how alike they are, the only difference being that Kai has no filter as he can't feel emotion. (Well, for most of his life) Shouldn't the fact that Lizzie is so much like Kai concern Alaric? Or anyone else that had to deal with him?

Jo's no longer around so the warning signs wouldn't be as obvious. Alaric wasn't around during Kai's childhood so he wouldn't see as many similarities, plus he's blinded by his love for her. and Lizzie and Kai aren't similar in everyday. Lizzie shows more empathy and isn't completely psychotic.

I think Lizzie and Kai are extremely similar. Yes Lizzie isn’t a sociopath, but they both feel the same, Kai felt like an outcast because he was a siphoner and Lizzie felt like an outcast because she was bipolar. In the end they both felt alone. Kai tried to redeem himself but people wouldn’t let him. If Kai were to come back, I think he would see that he wasn’t alone, and he would see himself in Lizzie

Kai and Lizzie are very alike, but the difference is, Lizzie grew up with so much love and help and all Kai got was hate. I think if Bonnie acted more understandable towards him it wouldn't have ended so bad, bc all he wanted and needed was love despite his bad sites. I don't say she should forget what he's done. It's just that the smallest step can make a difference.
