Brilliant. Thank you I've been looking for a few different options to defend the smash.

One of my favorite passes as well as ways to get to mount now my training partners will know how to counter me P: , that said I do very much like that kimura variation Ritchie showed, that's a neat way to do it I haven't seen before.

Stephan Kesting do you think you could do a video about countering rubber guard? I ran into it recently at a competition and it beat me. And I don't really have any training partners that use it. Would be massively appreciated.

This counter has been tried on me but i could negate it by using my other arm to either cup opponents lower arm and dragging them back or attacking shoulder grip/crossface. If you remove their lower arm, they cannot post on it and use their hips. Also, i am ALWAYS ready to switch sides andif your hip is up like that and i'm able to hold on to it, it's a pass. Sometimes i switch the hands after that and get a nasty cradle hold. So this might be good against those that haven't really thought their pass sequence all the way through. Good trick anyway
