Curiously, the replacement of the 'O' in the pro-noun wokers with two other letters, i.e 'A' and 'N' would give a more accurate description. Although maybe in Australia you don't use that word , you simply have the Americanism : 'jerk - - - ' ?

If that first woman is actually employed it would be hilarious if her boss called her bluff and said something like "okay ladies, "who wants a pay bonus/extra paid day off?" I worked with a dude who was a jehovah witness. They do not celebrate/acknowledge holidays. He had no problem accepting the holiday paycheck (one check for all holidays in that year) given at the end of the year. 😮

I'm female and I don't throw a tantrum when I'm in a group at work and the manager says "OK guys ...". But that's because I'm normal with normal confidence and normal ability to be part of a team and not have to put myself on display.

In fact where I work, in a mixed gender environment, the females are just as likely to refer to other females as 'guys' as the blokes are. We simply get along and respect each other - except in unavoidable circumstances, gender isn't a consideration.
