I agree. It's not even about hate or right or wrong at this point. It's embarrassing and plain awful that he's being shoved out on stage for this by his underlings/controllers. I'm no fan of his, nor on the other side (nm I'm a Brit) but it's shocking that this is allowed to happen nm any ideas of candidacy or re-election. I've had elders of my own reach a similar stage of decline and I couldn't imagine, first and foremost, putting them through this let alone any other connotations. That said, I can as well imagine that anybody in the US voicing such honest concerns would be a target for the left (as a right winger) and anybody actually on the right saying such... well... Surely, there's a better choice that could have taken his place before now, if not during his presidency then as a candidate this year. At least, if nothing else than to let Biden bow out with some dignity and honour left and for the sake of the US, it's image and self respect, at home and abroad.
