Not necessarily you can refuse a drug test just like you can refuse a write-up. You can also refuse overtime in the state of California. If your job gives you problems, you can file a worker compensation for stress after 6mo of employment and discrimination. Beside companies are excluding THC.

Some people will claim violation of their privacy. But if you are taking drugs under orders/direction from a medical professional, you just present the prescriptions for those drugs. It is the self medicated ones that make the violation of their privacy. There was a woman where I worked. She got hit with a random drug test (might not have been random to be honest). I was one of the people also selected to take this random drug test. She claimed violation of her privacy. She ended up quitting. It turned out she had been doing drugs. While the company never admitted it, we never had another random drug test for as long as I worked at that company.

I believe there is something in place for office employees but it is only used if cases that if there is a viable reason. Can a government worker be asked to take a drug test twice a week every week for their entire career? Nah that would be ridiculous! Can anyone make them take a test regardless of if they are a janitor, a co-worker or a citizen who happens to see them in a coffee shop? Nah that would be crazy! No president has ever had that as a requirement… maybe because they have the 25th amendment. If you don’t think the rules are stringent enough speak with your representative and let them know why you think the current process is missing something and how you would change it. It's absurd that federal laws can be undermined in the capital of the nation without someone holding them accountable. I believe Joe Biden is a Munchausen sociopath. I've known 3 of them. The last one convinced everyone she was dying, but spent 10 hours shopping for a new refrigerator to replace her working (not old) refrigerator. Before and after this she had people feeding her in bed, because she was "too weak" to get up.
