Initially the opposition agitated against CAA simply for the reason that the Muslim votes cannot be risked. Then this protest was started blindly based on rumours that Muslims will lose citizenship and once the lies are busted they tried to find other reasons but in vain. If the continued students protest is justified, why don’t the opposition parties fuelling the protests go and debate the act in the parliament. If the opposition ask a question on this act and If govt don’t respond, then whole country will corner the govt. Govt has said already that they are ready to debate but the protesters simply don’t have any valid points to make and see no option as they just are not able to go back in shame!

Who ever is protesting and saying it's discriminatory with muslim will they agree to take the Muslims of these three countries and why only India there are 30 Islamic countries in the world why are they not accepting

She was asked to vacate right at that moment as she said. Things cooled down after some 4-5 hours. She/her father had complained to the police. Police controlled things and told them that they can stay there if they want, the landlord had agreed to that. THAT IS WHEN SHE DECIDED NOT TO STAY THERE FOR SAFETY REASONS. Clear?

They were beaten up first and since they dont have larger presence in JNU they called people from outside. This time other folks got beaten up more and someone seriously injured. This appalling to see such thing happening in a reputed university. I only hope things get back to normal and students start respecting other opinions and not resort to violence.

No-one, not even Rahul Kanwal pointed out that the CAA is only for the minority refugees from the three neighbor-countries (who for some reason could not/did not migrate during the Partition) who are already inside India now for decades and living in a state of limbo in refugee camps. It is not meant for anyone coming into India as refugees in the future!!! However, India does have a robust asylum system, which operates in accordance with the UN guidelines. Pakistani and Bangladeshi Muslims Adnan Sami and Tasleema Nazreen have got asylum in India. Not something the unholy anti-CAA/NRC mahasangathan will want to talk about.

This lady from ABVP must watch the home minister statement in parliament and on his road shows, he calls people termites.

Police was shouted at by this very channel when they barged into JMI by saying, "How the hell did the police get inside a college of students when they were *not summoned* ?" In JNU, when this channel asked the police, "Why you are not going inside ?", the police said, "There is an internal security. We are not supposed to go in without being requested." Unfortunately they have become the punching bag to show the anger on BJP for winning elections & ruling the country. I wish you go through the same fate.

The Police is supposed to control violence anywhere among the common citizens within the country. If a murder were to take place in the colony you live or if a violent physical assault were to happen in your colony or your college & if the police were called, they would have to take some action to prevent a killing or something violence like that. The Police will not wait for request from the authorities of your colony. Because the Police are not answerable or accountable to authorities of such private or public places. They are only answerable to the law, the protocols & the regulations set for them. Besides, you have no proof that the Police Department of Delhi even got any such request. From what I know and if I'm not wrong, I will say that I've heard plenty of times that the police cannot arrest without warrants.

CAA law which came into force on 10th January of 2020, will affect a minuscule of population. 1.3 Billion Indians. 0.1 million Illegal immigrants, out of which 90% get Citizenship. that leaves 10% of illegal immigrants who form 100,000 people might not get India citizenship, might be still given a refugee card, and all the benefits. CAB was introduced in biggest panchayat of India, passed in both houses, stamped by President of India. Now it is a law. To imagine that all these students are coming out and doing agitation for the Pakistani Muslim Illegal immigrants on their own, well- It is difficult to believe. As of today CAA is the law, NRC was ordered by Supreme court of India in Assam only, NRC was NOT even talked about regarding the feasibility, and NPR is another name for census- with a couple of questions more than what was asked during the last census. All the hell that broke lose regarding only CAA - and people insisting on Non-existent NRC (as of today) - ofcourse it is politically motivated. Only naive and innocent would think otherwise.
