I still don’t buy the whole ‘teams found us out under bielsa’. We played the same way every game, any team had every bit of information they could possibly want to try and work us out yet we still managed to finish 9th with 59 points (enough for europa league this season). It only began to truly fall apart when the core of the team wasn’t playing due to injuries and the confidence began to dwindle from the lack of positive results.

I think all Leeds fans appreciate what Marcelo Bielsa did for the club! He was perfect for giving the club media coverage and a style of football everyone loved! But saying that he was too stubborn, teams caught on to our style of play, players started to feel the physical and mental pressure playing under Bielsa. Many of these players would never have made it under another manager, Bielsa got the best out of them but they had little left after 3-4 years.Maybe Bielsa would have kept Leeds up? Personally, I doubt it.Marcelo would have left, he stayed at Leeds longer than anywhere, and Leeds would be looking for a new manager. Would it be in the Prem or Championship?

Not buying Bielsa resisted new players but he did only want players he thought would improve the team and they needed to be fit enough to play his style of football. MB got Leeds to the prem . He would not sign players who wasn’t better than the ones we already had .Eddie Gray can’t say anything bad because he’s part of Radz back room team . And to say teams found out how we played is absolutely rubbish. How long as pep and Klop been at Man City & Liverpool respectively they haven’t change . The truth is Leeds had injuries probably nine players at all the same time , no manager could cope with that. Radz panicked and pulled the trigger . And just I mean just got away with it . MB was the best manager the premier as ever seen , no one will better his way . Leeds was lucky to have him , because we would be a mid table championship team still today . But he’s gone now and I wish JM all the best , can’t blame him for taking the job who wouldn’t. Time will tell . Good luck JM I hope you prove me wrong. 🤍💛💙

Bielsa did well to get us promotion but he wasn't the man to keep us in the prem I personally would have got rid of him a month earlier, we nearly went down because of sentiment keeping hold of bielsa so long, who was terribly nieve in defence and stubborn he refused to adapt and change. Marsch was thrown into the lions den with 12 games to go with a team that did not know how to defend.he has down brilliantly .I am so happy for him and my home town club but finding the right players is not easy but I rather we try build in the prem than the championship.ya know the word legend is used so easily these days but eddie truly is at Elland Road.he still looks fantastic ,still has that sparkle in his eyes he makes me proud to be a fan of my home town club.

Given the interview the Leeds CEO gave yesterday on The Square Ball podcast it turns out that Eddie was misinformed by the previous ownership (well spotted Simon Jordan!). Bielsa knew his methods were beyond the players who'd come up from the Championship and recommended a huge squad overhaul to the board which was rejected on financial grounds. He knew we wouldn't survive in the PL without a step up in the calibre of players coming in and ultimately he was proved right. We were buying 5 out of 10's instead of 7 and 8's (the words of the Leeds CEO not mine). Bielsa deserved much better from the club ! Thank you Marcelo.

By the time they sacked Bielsa he was already completely lost the players making them doing ridiculous things like man to man marking the whole game. And that's why after the game at Brentford there was no player remembering Bielsa at all. And then we have the injuries situation. You can have three, four.....lets say seven injuries the whole season. When you have seventeen injuries the whole season you're a fool if you think that's just a coincidence. That's on Bielsa, as he demanded too much from the players not only the day of the game but on the training days as well. And lets not forget by the time Jesse arrived Leeds United was a ship sinking in the middle of the North Sea with the most goals conceded team in the whole Premier League losing so badly too many games with Bielsa.

He just wants players who are better than what is currently here and he's aware of how much the club have spent already (£130m on the squad was the figure he used). Bielsa said that on the basis of prior investment, it wouldn't be fair for him to demand anything of Leeds (which is not to say they won't make signings in January). Says Leeds have been "so responsible in the construction of the squad." Bielsa: "What I don't have any doubts about is that the club will always do the maximum they can to resolve the needs which present themselves." #lufc

Next season will probably be another struggle, but even if Leeds sell a few of their best players, they should still be able to compete with Fulham, Bournemouth, Notts Forest/Huddersfield and Everton (with their huge debts), so even 16th or 15th would be an improvement. I feel that survival for all the clubs with less resources mainly depends on how many points they can take from the 12 games against the so-called 'big 6'. This season Leeds lost all 12 of those matches, conceding 47 goals and scoring just 8. Those 38 points came from the other 26 games. They surely can't do any worse in those 12 fixtures next season?

The biggest issue at Leeds was not the manager, it was the almost non existent squad depth. Bamford the only genuine striker at the club misses the majority of the season with injury, straight away regardless of who the manager is, you are screwed. Firpo was complete toilet for both managers and would have been the same under any manager in the PL. Surely people are not so short sighted to just presume Jesse Marsch must be a good manager because he kept them up by finishing 17th and that Bielsa can't be that good because they were struggling this season? All PL sides need at least two decent players for each position and Leeds simply don't have that. Sure they have some talented players, but it's still a threadbare squad that can't cope with injuries.

Bielsa was a very honourable man and would never bad mouth anyone or speak out against the Board of Directors. There was a genuine communication problem which didn't help the situation, unlike Marsch and being a typical Yank! As much as I admire Eddie Gray I don't believe what he says about Bielsa not wanting to buy because the Directors had told him so. I read Phil Hay's book on Bielsa and he clearly writes that Bielsa wanted to keep Ronaldo Viera at the time we wanted to buy Bamford from Middlesborough, but we had to sell Viera to Sampdoria to raise the money to buy Bamford 7 million which is nothing by todays standards! Says it all about the Board and a lot about Bielsa that he never complained or highlighted the true position about buying and selling at Leeds but just accepted it. Guilty conscience I think with the statement Radzz put out yesterday immediately after the game! He knows where the blame lies.....and it's not at Bielsa's feet.
