Leeda Icon M Sport Power MK3- Update VID 2

Спорт

If you have not seen the 1st video please do watch that, The Tip replacement sent by Leeda was the correct and the one supplied originally was the wrong one (it was the tip from the elite model, glass tip and Fuji guides that snapped).

What way is that tip section attached to the the rest of the tip it will break again no doubt if has to be all one piece from the butt connection to the end of the tip .

I have the leeda icon m sport ultra power mk1 version. Not had any problems at all. Had over a few years now i have landed double figure hounds and rays on it no problem at all. Should have no problem with the correct tip leeda sent you as based on the mk1 version carbon through out the rod. The fault is with the mk2 version with the glass tip. I am in the process of getting the mk3 power version. Was going to get the ultra power version. I Don't like the fact they have made alterations to The tip and mid sections by stiffen up. Might be too stiff for my liking. Why i am opting for the power version. Wished i had bought 2 mk1 versions now. Hoping one would crop upon ebay but no joy

Yes the tip was wrong, it was deffo the glass tip which I got and snapped. The problem is I lost faith now and bought a century rod instead and loving it so far. Good luck on finding the model they are few and far between now. Tight lines Samad

@@CastAwayFishingUK Yes good rods the century.I would not mind the century eliminator t900 sgt. My mates got one. The price of it. A Lot for a rod when i can get a rod under 200 pound which does the same job and puts a bait far enough for my needs. use to be a fan of the daiwa rods. Where i have had them for many years too soft for my liking now for casting. I will settle for a mk3 power i think. See how it goes.

Yes I have heard of a few breaking myself and I've been putoff Leeda Icon big time. I went out and bought a Century TT supermatch Graphex instead. I need the confidence to use a rod and not hesitate during a cast for the fear of breaking it!

The match , power and ultra are all part of the elite range and all have fiberglsss tips and Fuji guides. No quite sure what tip you were originally sent or what the replacement was ? I was looking at getting this rod as all reviews were very positive but no confused and put off abit since watching your videos

That will probably snap again where youve joined the other tip in. Ive had the Elite version of the rod myself for a while now and had no probs with it at all. Perhaps a dodgy one, or damaged on the way to the shop?

Yes it will probably snap, but going to use it close in for flatty bashing or scratching for small stuff and see how it copes. The tip I got was the wrong tip it was the Elite model tip which has snapped on me. Just bad luck maybe but on a positive note I have upgraded to Century TT GSM :)

get yourself a century fireblde it is a great fishing rod and not stupid money i have 2 of them and they are quality and not £ 500 each the fireblade is £259 . i have all century rods which included the top of the range century and be honest century are just top quality .. working in a tackle shop allows me to test most bits of tackle and i know the good stuff from the rubbish and i have been fishing since 1976 and sadly when it comes to tackle only the best stuff is reliable in the long term
